The fins and no hair allow it to move faster in the water and the sharp teeth and claws make claiming their prey easier. As the Ambulocetus began to live in the water so much, the water made it adapt so that it could live easier in the aquatic environment.

Adaptation - The Dorudon is now an animal that only goes above the water for air and can move much faster underwater since it gained fins. The Dorudon's environment became strictly water so it was forced to adapt to it and become more potent underwater.

Adaptation - The only difference between the two is that the Balaenoptera has a larger body, and the current size of the whale is the largest it has ever been, and that's probably because of the amount of fish in the sea. The aquatic environment continues to change the whale and try to make it more sustainable for the water. 
Hypothesis - My hypothesis is that in the future the whale will move to a different environment due to the possible change of climate.
