Where:  Little Bighorn River in southern Montana
Why:   The confrontation over the ownership of land. The U.S. wanted the land for gold / The Sioux wanted it because it was sacred to them.

What: It forcibly removed the natives from their land and relocated them from their homes.
When: 1831 - 1877
Where:  From Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida to territory west of the Mississippi River.
Why: President Andrew Jackson at the time signed the Removal Act of 1830 into law. This act removed the Native Americans(Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw and Seminole natives) from their land.

What: The government divided the native american lands into chunks for individual members of the tribe to force upon labor that would benefit U.S. society. Left over land would be sold to new settlers.

Where: The Five Civilized Tribes territories in Oklahoma(Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee, and Seminole) 
Why: it was to try and assimilate the natives into society
