Connotations- Loneliness, struggle, domestic stress, miscommunications between age groups. The man is clearly distressed by some situation possibly involving the girl. The fact that one man is choosing to comfort him while the other is not shows that his struggle is perhaps disputable in some eyes who feel his reaction is invalid. This would explain the harsh expression on the man closest to the cameras face. The fact thi man is closest to the camera and largest in the frame could draw the audience to particularly value his view or that the director themselves feels we should value this.

The Plan is for the short film to be shot using a Canon 7D mk ii as the main shooter, with a smartphone being used only if the shot requires panning or tracking (the phone will be on a gimbal). The lens will most likely be a 24-105mm zoom lens, as it is easy to use and can be used in many scenarios.

The project will be edited using Adobe Premiere Pro, with the potential for Adobe Audition to be used to denoise audio if necessary (but due to my lack of familiarity with Adobe Audition, this is all it will be used for).

Due to a slight case of pandemic going on in England right now, I’ll be using various areas around my home as locations. I’m not certain as to where yet, but that will become clearer as the idea gets developed further.

Music and sound effects will all be royalty free, either from freesound.org or just from assets that I have locally on my computer. I’ll be making sure to thoroughly check the licenses of what I use so that I stay within license terms.
