As far as I know Australian government and border protection prohibits asylum seekers arriving in Australia by boat. The article reminds me of the need to control smuggling of desperate and vulnerable people. I have conflicting opinions on this situation. On the one hand, I feel the ones being put a risk are probably unaware of the laws they are breaking and could have been fed false information from people smugglers to motivate them to pay large amounts of money and risk their lives  to attempt this journey. On the other hand, I feel that the illegal immigrants could be well aware of the laws they are breaking and are economic migrants. Either way, I am often torn between my opinions of these illegal immigrants. However, I still think that Australia should provide humanitarian aid to support those who is searching for help, if we can't accept them here.
