I like the use of chips towards a class goal. The classroom I am currently observing in has a "compliment count." When the entire class is working well or gets a compliment from another teacher, they get a compliment added. When they reach their goal, the class has a "compliment party." They get to choose what they want to do. The most recent compliment party, the class got to bring in board games and play at the end of the day on Friday. I also like the use of team points because it makes students take on their own responsibility and holds them accountable for their actions.

I like the use of "Team Points". I think that is a good way to keep everyone accountable for their actions and celebrate accomplishments of the class. I also like the use of a digital timer because I think it can help students especially those with attention issues stay focused.

I currently use "equity sticks" in my Hebrew school classroom with my fifth grade students. I pull sticks for students to participate to read, but they can say "no" if they are uncomfortable to read aloud. I also pull sticks to create pairs or small groups to practice Hebrew, unless a students wants to work independently. They actually get very excited when they see me pull out my Popsicle stick bag.
Also in my Hebrew school class, I allow them to choose any desk they would like in the room to feel as comfortable and engaged as possible.

I currently use the digital timer in my classroom. It motivates the students to complete the task. I also use the SMART Board regularly for tactile, visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. The safe space seems like it would be good for students who have difficulty focusing on tasks.
