         <title>During the war Spanish Ships tried to leave the harbor, but their fleets were destroyed. Which caused Spanish to surrender on July 25.  The Treaty of Paris was agreed to give Cuba independence from Spain. The United States also paid Spain 20 Million dollars for the annexation of the Philippines Islands.</title>

         <title>Finally in the 1900s America tried to imperialize Cuba by adding the &quot;Platt Amendment&quot;. This amendment  gave America the right to intervene or buy any Cuban land in which they wanted. Cuba became partially by the U.S. and gave them economic utilities.</title>
