If you didn't follow their beliefs you would be banished and anything that didn't support the Qin was burned. Shi Huangdi created a ton of terracotta warriors to guard him because he was so paranoid. They returned to a Confucianism with bureaucracy. The middle of the Han dynasty is knows as the golden ages of China. Positions in the government were not just given out people had to take tests and exams to figure out if they were right for the job. Farmers were the backbone of the economy in this time. Unfortunately, they were invaded and the Hand dynasty ended.
