The idea came to me while looking at the vegetables on the table in the kitchen, so I intended to use some of the ingredients and objects arranged in a group of still-life compositions for my drawing. First I used a mind map and sketches of the objects to define my idea. At first, I only intended to use sketches as my final work, because pencil sketches need to have a complete composition, shape, space, the contrast between positive and negative, and various other factors, but I think the sketching technique can't express my feelings completely, so I used color paints to finish my final work. The overall tone of my painting is darker, giving it a warm, realistic feeling. I used the contrast between dark and light colors to show the texture of different objects. For example, tofu has a soft texture, so the color I used would be cleaner because it projects the color of other objects. And when painting the glass bottle, it is important to show the reflective and transparent texture of the glass, and these details are portrayed to make the picture more realistic. Although some of them were very boring, some of them were also impressive and interesting. What impressed me most was the 6th week of observing and sketching people in the environment, which required learning to accurately capture people's behavior and state, which was not easy, but I tried to do it very well. Of course, there are some drawing skills that I have not fully mastered, such as drawing in one-point perspective and two-point perspective. I am not able to converge the orthogonal lines to the vanishing point very well, so I cannot show the 1 and 2-point perspectives well. I will work harder on this to improve my visual creativity and technical skills. Furthermore, drawing improves our observation, imagination, and expression. This visual language helps us not only in our studies but also in everyday life.
