The point he made that a capitalist society has a paradox on its structure is proved by the poor work conditions of labourers and the consequence, human alienation. In this sense, the claim he made that capitalism leads to the poor poorer and the rich richer is a fact in some sense. However, by some countries introducing the social security, the rights of workers have been reinforced and the quality of their life has been improved. This shows a limit of his theory.

Why Marx's predictions did not come true?

The value's of Marx theories is that the produced goods can be calculated by the number of labour required to produce it. Marx believes that capitalism exist because of social inequality. Everyone should have their fair share of income due to the number of hours they worked. 

Marx's foresight did not come true because the capitalist in the economic system is always creating strong forces of production.
