Three men participated in an exciting mission called Apollo 13. After they launched off and now into space, a life-threatening problem happened. The oxygen tank exploded, however the well-trained astronauts knew what to do and began to work. They used the LEM to get back to Earth, but they needed more energy, so they turned off the heat despite the shivering cold space they were in. Many problems arose but the quick-thinking astronauts, came up with more and more solution. Using bursts of fuel to launch back to Earth, they began to free fall, which caused the worried astronauts to panic. Despite their worries, everything worked out, and they landed safely, surviving a frightening journey.

When NASA received shocking news of the damaged Odyssey, the worried astronauts and engineers quickly came up with a risky plan. The astronauts had to move from the impaired Odyssey to the functioning LEM, which would take them close to Earth. Once near Earth, the astronauts would have to return back to the Odyssey, which was equipped with a working heat shield. When the astronauts were ready, they made their way back to Earth at an alarming speed over 24,000 miles per hour. Finally, the astronauts safely landed, announcing the thrilling mission to be a successful failure.

The astronauts were introduced to a shocking mission; they are going to be the first explorers to be on an unnamed planet. It was an exciting mission, however they still felt very nervous. When they were first led to see their rocket, they couldn't believe their eyes. The rocket was filled with shredded seats and beds, also with a sign that said "broken engines". Needless to say, their excitement turned into fear. When the guide saw the scared astronauts, he looked inside himself. He then realized that he made an embarrassing mistake: he showed them the wrong rocket.

April 13, 1970 astronauts Jim Lovell, Fred Haise, and Jack Swigert were drifting through space on a terrifying mission in a spacecraft, the Odyssey. The Odyssey was a car sized capsule. The meals they ate were just packets of dried food. Though every monitored detail of the travel looked okay , disaster suddenly struck. The only way to return to Earth they would have to use the LEM. The explosion caused them to result in using a doubting capsule, LEM. Though they had a shocking experience, they returned home safely. And although this was a failed mission, it was one of the greatest success stories yet.

The group of Apollo 13 astronauts, Fred Haise, Jim Lovell, and Jack Swigert, were cruising toward the moon in a shocking, disastrous mission. During the journey, they consumed packets of dried food and had a team of engineers in Mission Control constantly monitoring the spacecraft's activity. Then, all of a sudden, a deafening explosion struck the spacecraft's oxygen tank, draining the limited supply of power. In the end, the three skilled astronauts found a solution by using the LEM, the lunar excursion module capsule, but were still plagued with multiple concerning issues. The Mission Control members greatly contributed to the LEM's safe landing. As the capsule floated down to Earth, the panicked viewers who were watching let out a collective sigh of relief, knowing that the three astronauts of Apollo 13 were back home.

Commander Jim Lovell, and officers Fred Haise and Jack Swigert were three of the best trained astronauts in the United States. They were all chosen to go on the research mission, Apollo 13, which would later on become a death defying mission that would go down in history. While performing a routine task for the shuttle, a loud, startling bang sounded out through the "halls." Faulty wiring in an oxygen tank triggered an explosion, which resulted in many damaged systems. On the morning of Friday, April 17, the astronauts entered the atmosphere of Earth, and flex down in a flaming ball of fire.
They landed, and the shuttle rested in the waters of the Pacific Ocean. This failed mission would go down in history as one of NASA's greatest successes.

Jim Lovell, Fred Haise and Jack Swigert were the 3 death-defying astronauts selected to be on a shocking mission soon to be called Apollo 13. NASA hired the best scientists to help with the program, and using cutting-edge technologies, they are able to send these 3 individuals to outer space. On April 11, 1970 at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, the rocket carrying the 3 astronauts soared into the immense sky. As the flying explorers believed it was an exciting ride, it was soon to be the most terrifying experience of their life. 2 days into their expedition, but soon an unplanned misfortune occurred as the oxygen tank had exploded, leaving them 3 some oxygen left and destroyed boosters. To save them, Nasa sent 2 aircrafts conjoined like lego pieces. The 3 astronauts would climb into the the aircraft called Odessey. It would bring them into the darkened space once again and back to Earth. They had then reached Earth's atmosphere, but there was many troubling mishaps waiting to happen like the malfunction of the heat shield. Luckily, Apollo 13 had landed in the Pacific Ocean like a life boat assuring their existence of the worried viewers

Officer Haise, Lovell ,and Swigert are trained astronauts that were sent on the frightening mission called Apollo 13. They were very honored to be on a distinguished mission. They rode in the cramped shuttle ,but they did not complain about it. As they approached the moon, they were ordered to activate their program. However, some damaged wiring caused an explosion. As oxygen was leaking, the astronauts went to work on the problem. They decided to board the lunar excursion module (LEM)
and use it as their lifeboat in space. They detached from the shuttle and they drifted towards Earth. As they were entering the atmosphere the astronauts activated the heat shield. The frozen shuttle began to heat up as they fall closer and closer to the ocean. The engineers in NASA headquarters were silent as they dropped. Five minutes pass and the world lost hope for the astronauts until, a voice cracked over the radio. Swigert responds back to headquarters and joy is brought back to silent room. The astronauts return home safely and the failed mission would be known as one of NASA's greatest successes in history.

They didn't have much space in the little shuttle. When they were near the moon an explosion shook the little shuttle they were in and they were scared for their lives . They soon figured out that hey were running out of air. So they devised a plan to use the the LEM as a lifeboat . It was a risky plan but it was their only chance to get back home. They would have to be creative to conserve oxygen and power. They soon ran into problems when the air filters stopped working . They were firing the engine in short burst. They were finally approaching earth on Friday April 17. They were treated back home as heroes and went down in NASA History.
