The Ponte Veccio (Old Bridge): Bridge was built in 1218 & was rebuilt in 1345 after a flood. Known as everlasting symbol of Florence as it has overcome many natural disasters and wars (World War II).

• The Duomo: Cathedral was built in 13th century by Arnolfo di Cambio. Took 2 centuries to finish due to all of the detailed architecture. The cathedral is full of amazing artwork everywhere you look.

• The Accademia Gallery: Hall of Colossus: Contains many giant sculptures of Dioscuri of Montecavallo and many others. Musical Instruments Hall:  Has original handmade Antonio Stradivari red spruce and maple wood Medici violin that was created in the 17th century as well many of older instruments.

Ubiquitous bread: Bread is very important in Florence. Tuscan bread dates all the way back to the Middle Ages.

• -Panzanella: A salad consisting of diced tomato, onion, basil, olive oil, vinegar, and bread cubes!

• -Bistecca Alla Fiorentina: Thick porterhouse cut of beef, weighing anywhere from 2-8lbs. Served  well roasted on the outside and red & bloody on the inside.

• -Pappardelle Sulla Lepre: Pasta with meat from hare, goose or rabbit with a sauce.

• -Schiacciata Alla Fiorentina: Sponge cake covered with vanilla and lemonscented sugar.
