Anna gets in her family car and starts to talk about how grateful she is for her car and her friends and family. When she gets home she talks about how grateful she is for her house and how big it is. She looks around her house and says shes grateful for all the things she has. She gets to school and sees that its very different. She sees all her friends with all the expensive things and says she doesn't want the same stuff as them. When she thinks about her friends in Italy and realizes she is a completely different person. The next morning she receives a message from Riccardo and reads it.

Riccardo messages her and asks her how she is. She responds saying she's good, and how school is and her family is, and how her italy trip helps her in her italian class. He responds back with saying how he is, and what he is currently studying and that he is studying the history of the US and he enjoys it. Then she asked how Graziella and Giovanna were. He responds saying there very good and there asking going to go to school, and they have interesting classes but the two girls are boring to him. Then she asks how is Patrica.

riccardo says the Patricia is doing well and is studying english and that she speaks it well. He says she wants to visit California. Anna says the she is happy that they are all doing good. Riccardo says he is taking english classes and that his classes are serious and useful. Anna says he doesn't need to speak english to her because she knows italian. Then he says he wants to visit her in California and that he needs to speak english to talk to her family. She asks if he can visit California and he says that he can. Then Riccardo asks when she will come back to Italy because he wants to see her. She says she cant come back to italy. Anna is happy because she got a message from Riccardo but she is sad because she has not heard from Patrizia, Giovanna, or Graziella.
