Guts

It was the backstory of Hatchet one of my favorite! Books ever.

Sammy Keyes And The Skeleton Man

One of the best Sammy Keyes books in my opinion and maybe not for the mystery.

Guts and The Amulet were new books that i've never read but really enjoyed and they were both kinda challenging for different reasons like The Amulet was the first picture book i've ever read (not including when I was younger) and the Guts book had some words I didn't know.

Setting: The different version of Earth

Conflict: She didn’t want to be there she wanted a normal life but when her mother was taken by an arachnopod she was forced to save her.

Characters: Mom, Emily, Navin, Miskit, Cogsley, Leon

Theme: You must make due with what you have

The characters and conflict affect her the most: Because if her mother wasn’t taken Navin and Emily wouldn’t have to risk their lives saving her

(HEART WORK)

I empathize with the main character Emily because she was living a normal life before her dad died and they moved and discovered The Amulet 

One way I felt for Emily was she lost her father and were moving again and she didn’t have any friends because she was always moving and Emily never wanted to be dragged into the whole Amulet mess (she stated this many times in the book)

I wonder how the book would have gone if her father was still alive or The Amulet chose Navin

(Or lost my father)

Because in the book she's spends the first book and all of the second I have read trying to save her mother (she was relentless and determined) but it challenges my identity because i’ve never had to save my mother from anything.
