A more serious Nathan Drake/Indiana Jones adventurer but a detective, feels out of place in a gothic horror atmosphere, due to being used to the desert/jungle stereotypical setting.

The game would include hiding, distracting, puzzle-solving, stamina/running/jumping, and picking up items. The character would have a lantern, revolver, then eventually go into crossbows and swords due to the lack of ammunition, a story about adapting to the situation.

Genre would be action/horror/adventure, located in a victorian-era European gothic horror city and ruins. Beckett will have a struggle with his faith, the game discussing the internal faith problems people have. Beckett rejects his family’s extreme religious views, going to the city to confront his struggles with faith and try to save his family who went there. The story is a critique of strict religious family values that combat the individual and freedom of expression.
