http://www.bjp-online.com/2017/04/photobook-metropolight-by-david-gaberle/
David Gaberle
Camera used: Fujifilm X100
The name of the photograph "Tokyo" is to show where about in the world David Gaberle has taken this picture, my perspective on why he has done this is to show and to give a taste of what Japan's capital city Tokyo is like. Gaberle has taken this picture at a certain angle to get the reflection of the street lights from the ground and the rails on the stairs, with a night time setting only using the street lights as the main light sorce of the picture while it is raining, he has possibly done this to give the viewer of the photograph a nostalgic feeling of going home after along day of work with the calming rain hitting the umbrella to make the viewer feel some sort of connection to the photograph. Japan is a country well known for their respective behavior towards work and organisation, I believe this is what David Gaberle has aimed for within his photograph to give the viewer a view on what Japan, Tokyo is like, the people within this photo have all come prepared for the rain showing they thought ahead of time, also in the background is a constructing site on the road where cones have been equally distributed along the road, I believe David Gaberle has taken this picture the way he has to show his admiration for Japan's organisation through his lenses.

How the lighting of this picture is used is amazing and something I would like to add my own twist to in my own photography.

http://www.davidgaberle.com/about
David Gaberle described as "one of the most successful Instagram take overs for the photographer's gallery in London" is an amazing street photographer with great talent. Gaberle started his journey of photography in 2012 and brought a Fujifilm X100 along with his very first photobook. Gaberle moved to London in 2013 and used photography as an outlet to "ease the experience" of the city, he also stated "it gives me the illusion that I'm in control" which means to me when looking at his work it's as if I'm see a glimpse into his personal life, like the cameras lenses is his perspective it's self. 2015 is the year Daivd Gaberle became an official Fujifilm X-Photographer he also travailed the world taking picture for example of the countries hes been to Greece, Georgia and Japan.

Philip-Lorca diCorcia is best known for his photographs of figures and street scenes, which both has a mix of documentary and conceptual elements of photography, coming from artnet.com. diCorcia when studying at Yale University took photos of his friends and family that seemed spontaneous and unplanned, but in fact took hours of planning and lighting techniques to get a photograph diCordia was happy with which later influenced his work with cities in later life; After Yale diCordia did multiple spreads for Esquire, The New York Times magazine, and Harper's Bazaar. Philip-Lorca diCorcia started working on his Hollywood series between 1990 and 1992 where he paid prostitutes, hustlers, and drug addicts to pose in an environment where he thought they best suited for his photograph, he titled each picture with the name of his subject, as well as how much he paid them to sit for the photograph.
diCoria has used two types of cameras through out being a photographer a Linhof Technika 23 and a Mamiya RZ.

http://www.artnet.com/artists/philip-lorca-dicorcia/biography
http://www.artnet.com/artists/philip-lorca-dicorcia/tokyo-LPGywhyMfdoIqM1yv-ublg2
http://www.artnet.com/artists/philip-lorca-dicorcia/michael-jenson-19-years-old-dallas-texas-20-and-a-Zu-ECqnqMp1D8RmeN-pN-Q2
https://runway.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/02/11/q-a-philip-lorca-di-corcia/

I think what makes Alex Prager's Photography so eerie feeling and looking is that shes stages the photo in away where she leaves you with more questions then answers, this photograph of hers is a perfect example of that; further more to why I think Prager's images feel so eerie is becasue of the contrast she uses, she brightens the images to the point where the colours really stand out and makes it feel very unnatural.
I've also noticed within her photographs when it comes to colours she typically likes to use primary colours, and if she doesn't use primary colours its usually a lighter version of the colour, like a mint green or a baby blue; this is to possibly help the colours be boulder when making the contrast higher.
