*THE ONE I READ IS THE THIRD ONE*. I read a book called *Dragon Girls*, which revolves around how the characters have quests and complete various challenges. A character who resonated with me is a girl named Naomi, who loved the colors of the rainbow. She stood out to me because she was bold, brave, and a kind friend.That is why I like that book so much.

I am finishing unshcooled from last week, and I got chapters 3,4, and 5 done this week, and this is my summary

CHAPTER 3

Maggie breaks her arm and her team captain. Gorge volunteers but regrets it and doesn't feel good about Lilly, Sarah and grace. They get ready for twin day.

Chapter 4

Lilly is really competitive. Lilly and George have dinner with their parents at Lilly's house and their parents are worried Lilly will do something bad because of it.

Chapter 5

They go to Lilly's messy room and Lilly gives George a friendship bracelet she made him a while ago. Lilly keeps making George feel like all she cares about is winning and he is worried.

So far yes - Lilly is reminding me that being a good friend is more important than winning. The way she is acting is not the way I would want a friend to act.

I am reading Dog Man. Big Jim begins. It's amusing, like how mademad him and little Pete's grampa costumes, and grampa has a sprinkle costume. The part that taught me the most was how Big Jim said, "I knew my purpose, no matter how dark things got, it was my job to find light." That means to me that even if things get hard, you can overcome it.

My favorite part of this book so far is when Hilo's sister created all these cool robot-like living things, and then everyone except Hilo learned that that's her special power. So I realized that every robot that Rezawork made had a different power, so she has a giant army of robots to destroy people and planets.

I read "I Survived the Sinking Of The Titanic, 1912." In the book, I learned about the character George, who lied and got into trouble by his Aunt Daisy. My favorite part of the story is when he heard about a mummy in a coffin, and he was thinking about seeing it. Another cool thing is that George and his sister meet a famous writer.

I like in this book how it tells you all these facts that barely anybody knows about. There are facts like, "Did you know that the closest relative to the T Rex is a chicken?" And, "Otters hold hands when they sleep." You can also learn a lot from this book.

I'm reading Unschoolled from last week, and I got chapters 6 and 7 done this week. This is what happened. Chapter 6 Lilly, Lilly, and Aisha are going to be twins. Lilly thinks Team Red will win Twin Day. Luke and George are twins and not George and Lilly.[Lilly and George are best friends.] Lilly accidentally spilled her lunch all over George. Lilly is struggling to decide if winning or Friendship is more important.

Chapter 7

George has to change his twin day outfit because of the spill. Gorge finds out that he will be the permanent captain because Maggie the iriganal is not coming back. Gorge regrets participating. Britan and Stef tell George that team Red is trying to mess with team Blue. Britten and Steff are thinking of cheating.

The characters are teaching me that you can still be friends if you are competing against each other.

Eliminates animals that get too close to it.

Roz was eager to go to the ocean and solve the problem, but then BrightBill stopped her to give advice that turned out to be useful. That showed me that even though you feel so confident in something, you still might need advice.

I read the Magic Tree House. When Jack and Annie found the magic treehouse it looked like a normal tree house. But then once they opened a book inside they saw it was magic. This shows a great example how things are not always as they seem.

In Wonder, Auggie teaches me that you have to try to pick the right friends so you are not sad with your friends. Auggie listened to Jack Will say that he was not actually not his friend because in the text it says, "He just follows me, what am I supposed to do?" This made Auggie really sad.

I am in Section 2, "Via," which teaches me that friends might change over time so you might see them differently. Via shows this when her friend showed up very differently from when she last saw her. I read "The One and Only Bob." What I learned is that Bob (the dog) got in trouble by Julia. Now, I know that there are consequences. My favorite part is when Bob tells you about him being not the best dog. Now, a gorilla comes into the story, and Bob says they go way back. The first time they met was when Bob was homeless and desperate. Bob fell into the mall where Ivan (the gorilla) was in a cage. It was the middle of the night, and Ivan was fast asleep. Then Ivan woke up and let Bob sleep on his lap.

My favorite part of book 5 of Hilo was when Izzy revealed that when she danced, she was actually making a ship for Dr. Horison to come to Earth to see Hilo. What I learned from this book was that you shouldn't lie. I know this because when Izzy was lying, Dr. Horizon was actually Rezawork. But she did that on purpose.

The book I read this week is called Narwhal's Otter Friend. This is what happened first. Narwhal and Jelly - Jelly is Narwhal's best friend, were on a swim and met an otter.

Otter and Narwhal get to know each other and learn that the Otter is an explorer. Jelly is being rude to Otter. Narwhal is being very silly and wants to learn all about Otter's stories. But Jelly is being a downer. Narwhal wants to go on an adventure with Otter, and Jelly is sad that Narwhal has found a new friend. Jelly looks for a new friend, but there is no one. Narwhal comes back and tells Jelly about the adventure he is planning with Otter. Jelly is jealous, but then Narwhal tells him the only thing missing from the adventure is him, and now Jelly gets to go on the awesomest adventure ever.

This book taught me that being kind is important and being mean will get you nowhere. Speaking up for yourself is important too - if Jelly told Narhwal how she was feeling, she could have avoided some of her bad feelings.

I learned from the ghost bell that the main character was scared of something during her sleepover. And the girls were talking about her, then she did scary dares, trying to prove that she wasn't scared of anything. Then, when the girls dare her again, she says no. That showed me you don't have to do stuff just to prove you're not scared of something. Just admit why it's scary, and people will understand.

I am reading The One and Only Bob. What I learned was not to run away because Bob ran across a road and almost got hurt. Next, Bob found his way into the mall and slept in a garbage bin. When Ivan's friend Stella, an elephant, passed away, he was very sad. A girl named Julia's dad worked at the mall and adopted Bob. Now Bob had a cozy bed to sleep in, a bowl of food, and water. But his friends Ivan and Ruby are still at the mall in a cage. Then they ended up in zoos.

My favorite part about this book is when Izzy gave her life to Hilo and said, "This is how all the pieces fit." When Hilo was trying to defeat Rezawork. To make him stronger to defeat him, so that he doesn't hurt any people, and then make robots. But everybody thought that Izzy was trying to help Rezawork instead of helping Hilo defeat him.

I am finishing "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio. Auggie taught me that sometimes you have to do things that could help you, even when you don't want to. Just like when Auggie didn't want hearing aids, but when he got them, he could hear much better than before.

I am reading a super scary narwhalloween which is a Narwhal and Jelly book. This is what happened. Narwhal and Jelly meet up while Narwhal is trying on Halloween costumes and deciding what he wants to be.Narhwal discovers that Jelly is scared of many of his ideas and doesn't really like Halloween but Narwhal isn't afraid of anything. He swims away to look for more ideas. And then Jelly runs into friends who are running from a big monster. He is afraid that Narhwal is in trouble so he asks their friends to find their superpower and help Narhwal escape the monster. Jelly decides they will feed the monster waffles so that he does not eat them or Narwhal. When they find the monster they discover it was actually Narwhal who just kept trying on costume combinations because he wanted to be everything - and he got so big and sticky from waffles. The super team helped him get out of the costumes and saved the day. Narwhal decided that really he just wanted to be Jelly's sidekick for Halloween afterall so he was Super Narwhal. This book taught me that you can get over your fears if you are willing to try something new.
