The Polish Underground State was a single political and military entity formed by the union of numerous resistance movements in occupied Poland, the most notable movement being the 'Home Army' and was largely responsible for the production of intelligence for the grand alliance, the disruption of German logistics and manufacturing apparatus -- they were one of the most organised undercover, military organisation of Europe.

I think one of the most important ways poles resisted the occupation was the polish underground system.
It would be quite accurate to call it an underground country, as all the primarily polish institutions were kept underground. They were also busy with preparations for the moment they'll be able to strike back and get the control over their country back. The existance of this undergound state kept people's morales high and encuraged even the younger citizens to fight for their country the way they could.

One of the most vital ways through which citizens showed resistance was the Polish Secret Stare which operated secretly underground in order to avoid any Soviet and Nazi threat. This was important since they taught children stuff which the occupiers disallowed and boosted the Polish citizens' morale. Moreover, they had an army which had the goal to get rid of the occupiers and this alone, contributed to the war effort largely.
Another example of civil disobedience was shown through Witold Pilecki who created a whole underground network in the Nazi concentration camps. He sacrificed himself and gave signs and confidential information about the brutal and immoral treatment of people in the concentration camps. This helped and showed the Allies as to how to act and solve this on going issue. Lastly, it increased awareness throughout the world about the horrible treatment by the Nazis.
