This is a topic that is broad to the point of mind boggling. Additionally, it is subjective from an individual perspective void evidentiary facts. Also, there are histories of history with their respective turning points (i.e., turning points in the history of the earth, science, space, etc.). Majority definitions of "turning points" infer - specific, significant change. Therefore, my list of five events are as follows:
1. The advent of Islam; its Golden Age
2. TransAtlantic Slave Trade (1492 - 1914)
3. American Revolutionary War
4. Industrial Revolution
5. World Wars I, II
r b muhammad

Establishment of democracy in ancient Greece
2. Establishment of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
3. The exploration of the New World
4. American Revolution
5.
