1. As a team member, how can I develop myself into an adaptive leader or member?
Through my SHS journey, I’ve learned the value of flexibility, responsibility, and self-awareness—balancing academics, leadership roles in clubs like Directors' Cut and STARKE, and being a student-athlete. These experiences have shaped me into someone who understands that adaptability means more than just adjusting; it means learning, listening, and growing in every role I take on. To develop further, I’ll continue embracing challenges, being open to feedback, and stepping up when my team needs me, always with the intention to support and elevate those around me.

2. What can I commit to my team to lessen possible conflicts and disagreements?
I commit to being a consistent, respectful, and understanding presence within my team. SHS taught me that communication is key—especially when working with different personalities and under pressure. I’ll make it a point to listen actively, express myself calmly, and stay focused on finding solutions rather than fueling conflicts. By holding myself accountable and respecting others’ perspectives, I’ll help create an environment built on trust, empathy, and teamwork.

To develop myself into an adaptive leader or member, I have to consider everyone's opinions and insights, ensuring that the output is a collaborative effort. It is also important to become open-minded in all situations in dealing with both the activity and my groupmates. Furthermore, as mistakes can't be avoided, I also have to prepare for them, including the possible solutions, to become more efficient, and take responsibility for the consequences of my actions as a member or a leader. When it comes to tasks, I should be honest about my work, and despite only having a few areas of expertise, I should learn how to become flexible. Additionally, staying optimistic is key for me to see and come up with what is needed for the current situation. As a member, I will try to become a valuable asset for the team, offering my skills for the betterment of our tasks, and as a leader, I will try to assert my authority to keep everyone on line while prioritizing their thoughts and feelings at the same time.

To lessen possible conflicts and disagreements, all members, including myself, need to stay calm and talk thoroughly about each other's opinions to find a way for each side to come up with a consensus that will make everyone happy. It is also important that I remain respectful towards my group, taking into account and looking at their perspective to see where they are coming from. In such a situation, I should also be understanding and not just reject someone's idea without proper reasoning. Moreover, during the discussion, everyone should have their turn to share their insights so that no member is left out, ensuring everyone is heard.
