         <description><![CDATA[<div>A periodic function is a function where the graph repeats the same cycle over several "periods".&nbsp; So, in the table of values,&nbsp; the x and y coordinates will repeat the same pattern again and again.<br><br>These are different from past functions/graphs we have studied because in those functions the same (x, y) coordinates did not "recycle" again and again.<br><br>The graph below is periodic because it repeats the same cycle or pattern in the graph. It also demonstrates a real life example, the height of a person on a ferris wheel, as they repeat through the same heights over various times in the ride.&nbsp; A bug on the blades of the windmill to the right would also model a periodic function if we looked at the bug's height.</div>]]></description>
