Meaning the areas inside or outside your metal. You will need a wood block and a C-clamp to help stabilize just making the process a little easier! For the sun portion of my pendant I can start sawing right away but, for the symbol portion, since I'm cutting out the inside I have to pierce a whole in the shaded portion of my symbol so I can insert the saw blade through the hole and start sawing from the inside. make sure the saw blade is facing away from you.

In my case the sun portion. Then you will use your sparker to start the flame turning the gas (red tube) on first. Gradually turn up the air pressure (green tube) creating a fluffy, blue flame. Heat the flux until it appears translucent black/sticky. Repeat this process for the top layer of your pendant. Once you're done placing all solder chips around your top portion of the metal, you can spark the fire to create a warm blue, fluffy flame. Do not turn the air pressure up to fast while heating or solder chips could slip off. Once the solder is melted, you'll want to use your poker stick to spread the solder all across the metal. Sparker: Tool used to start the flame
Solder: used for joining less fusible metals
Poker stick: Tool used to secure metals together while soldering
*FLAME - there are 4 zones to a flame but, the portion of the flame used for soldering is the reducing zone. this is used because this section produces the most effective burning and heat. improperly torching can ruin your metal.

This will clean off your pendant from all the heat that was just directed on it. After 2-4 minutes of being in the pickle, carefully take out and dry off. Lastly, sitting at the polishing station, you will pick out the tip that best fits and works with your piece. Something i struggled with during this process was folding and flipping it the wrong way which made the design look messy, you can see in the picture one joint i flipped opposite and how it messes up the whole flow of the bracelet
