Hassan has turned out to be a very nice kid, but I just want to know why he loves Amir so much. He's clearly a bully and takes out his frustration on him so why does he still willingly love Amir?
Lastly I want to know Baba's reason for his dislike of his own son. Is it because he resembles his mother? Or perhaps because his expectations weren't fulfilled. I ask this because the story he wrote on his own has a man who killed his wife in order to get pearls. In a way, Amir could see that Baba killed his wife by getting her pregnant and Amir is the gift he can not bear.

Baba: Why does he not try to create a deeper bond with his son? I ask this because the multiple times that Amir came up to Baba, excited to show him something, Baba just pushes him away. This is seen when Amir tries to show Baba his writing and Baba just shrugs him off.

Hassan: Why did he feel the need to help Amir when Amir did not defend him? Assef harasses Hassan while Amir stands there quietly. Even though this is a song about infatuation, I thought it fit Hassan and Amir's admiration for each other. However, Amir and Hassan are "poisons" to each other, since the differences in their race may cause troubles for both of them in the region they both live. Similar to the infatuation the songwriter feels for the girl, Amir and Hassan's friendship is dangerous but very precious to them.
