Review of Class Apps

The two mobile apps that I reviewed was DoInk and ChatGpt. I like these mobile apps because it allows students to be creative by using artificial intelligence and their imagination for a final out but. You can use both of these apps professionally by creating assignments that will benefit the overall student. I could use these apps personally to create lesson plans and even school projects of my own in my graduate courses. I plan on trying these apps in the future.

Wiki is an online application that allows users to contribute to or edit its content.

wiki is a creative and open environment where everyone has a voice. The significance of wiki lies in the fact that there is no assigned “leader” or “head writer”. Some advantages of using wiki's in the classroom is collaboration of students in the classroom, the student becomes the giver of the information instead of the receiver, student centered learning, and it is free. One disadvantage to using wiki's is since content can be added or changed educators do not look at it as a credible source.

Digital Storytelling

When you traditionally make up a story to tell to someone, you brainstorm the topic, and use pencil and paper.Afterward you may design other features using the paper and pencil. This way you tend to use one topic. Digital Storytelling is using computer-based tools to tell stories or to present stories digitally as multimedia presentations using a wide variety of digital elements within the story structure. Using computers and other multimedia you can tell many narratives, such as web-based stories, interactive stories or hypertext stories.

There are seven elements to use when using digital storytelling. The first element is Point of View. In point of view you are giving a unique way of viewing the story through your eyes. The second element is the use of dramatic questions. Using this element is to keep the interest of the viewer if there is a question to be answered by the end of the storytelling. The third element is emotional content. Adding relatable emotions such as a sad story or humor, people will be able to relate to the story. The fourth element is Using Voice. Adding an inflection to your voice can add to the emotion of the story. The fifth element to use in storytelling is the use of music. This can add another layer to your story. Music brings people together. The last two elements are pacing and economy. Pacing your story with pauses or transition will help people keep up Lastly economy or using images to convey a message. Images can be symbolic. You can zoom or pan images to add to their meaning to keep the viewers engaged.
