Today I started the process for my seedling tray. Today I started the germination process for my little plant. I used a small bag and cotton balls I moistened the cotton and placed the seeds on top. With another piece of cotton, I moistened it again and placed it over the seeds. Then I opened the bag and put the seeds inside. Very carefully, I closed the bag so that no seeds would escape, and then continued with the germination process for my little plant.

I did the germination process, placed 6 mandarin seeds and moistened the cotton a little and put them in a bag. I did this process in my class. Long before I cleaned the seed, I prepared it well to put it on the cotton so it could grow better.

Day 2

Just as some instructions said, I left my seeds outside on a little table where the sun would hit them, but not so much. After a few hours or so I saw that the bag was more humid, perhaps the plant is already starting to react.

I wasn't home much today, so I couldn't move my little plant to a better spot. I don't think the window where I put it is a good place because it gets very little sunlight. I kept looking at my plant because I'm eager to see changes; I get impatient easily. But I'll wait so it doesn't die and I can be a good caretaker.

Today I arrived home exhausted from my school's standardized tests and feeling drained, but I saw my little plant and it cheered me up a bit, though I'm still anxious because I haven't seen any changes yet. Today I was just removing the stem from the banana leaf so my mom could make hallacas. When I finished, I checked on my little plant to see how it was doing. I was so happy seeing how much the little plant was growing.

Today I stayed home and managed to spend more time with my little plant. I did homework with it, we listened to music, and even my parents saw how much the plant has grown. I'm still so happy to see it growing!, I'm still thinking about taking it out of the bag and putting it in a small pot.

The seed is still in the process of germination, I keep looking at it every day but it still doesn't germinate as I said before, I don't put it directly in the sun and I try to make sure it is hydrated, I didn't go to school today so I had more time to take care of it, I also saw that if you talk nice to them they grow faster

Today I took a closer look at the little plant and realized that the roots weren't coming from just one bean, but from several. Two or even just one had roots coming out. I sprinkled them with a little water and left them where they always are. Those seeds are doing well; several germinated.

Day 9

The seed is still in the bag; I put it in the sun every day, and today I noticed it's a little more humid than usual. I think it's trying to sprout slowly. Tomorrow I'll write about its progress and also check on my other seeds to see if I can transplant them into a cup, since they seem to have grown faster.

Today I checked on my plant and saw that there hasn't been any progress at all. I only see the white roots and the little beans. I don't know if it's because I need to do something or if I'm skipping a step, but my plant has been doing well. It gets sun, I mist it with water, and it gets a breeze.

Today my little plant experienced its first downpour, and received quite a bit of breeze and also plenty of sun because it was too hot. I haven't seen a stem sprout yet, but it makes me happy to see that it's growing on schedule.

Today I was busier than usual, so that's why I set the reminder. I've already transferred my tomato seeds to a small glass jar. Tomorrow will be their first day of growth, and the beans haven't germinated yet. I'll see if the tomato seeds grow. I've been watching several videos, and it's not as difficult as with other seeds. It's just a matter of putting the seeds in sand with protein and a little water, enough to keep the seeds hydrated, and placing them in the sun for a bit so they get the necessary minerals for growth.

Day 10

Today I feel happy because this morning I checked the little bag where my seeds were germinating. I opened it and carefully unwrapped the cotton from the beans and saw that they had sprouted! I'm so happy. Tomorrow I'll transfer them to a small jar so they can continue growing. I had been thinking about planting other seeds in case the beans didn't germinate, but today, on day 10, they did germinate, and I hope they can grow into a plant by day 14.

Today I stayed home and talked to my little plant. I watched it for a while, then took it to the rooftop to get more sun and breeze. Although I still don't see any changes that make me say "wow," I'm happy with what has happened to my plant.

Today I didn't see any progress either. I'm starting to think my bean died or something happened to it. Maybe I skipped a step or didn't do something right. The roots look the same and that's it, not even a little sprout or anything.

My plant finished growing, it sprouted more roots and leaves, and now it's taller. I give it a few drops of water every day and keep it in the shade, but it still gets sunlight. I'm so happy to see my little plant growing because I've never had one of my own before. There are two plants, and I think a third one is going to sprout. Today I checked the cotton and noticed the seeds looked a little bigger, like they were slowly absorbing the water. I made sure the cotton stayed moist but not too wet. I closed the little bag again and left it in a warm place. Nothing has sprouted yet, but I feel like the seeds are starting to wake up.

This morning I saw the seeds were even more swollen than yesterday. It felt exciting because it means they’re getting ready to open. I added a tiny bit of water to the cotton since it was starting to dry. I kept the bag in a warm spot with indirect light. I think the first root will appear very soon.

Today I finally saw a tiny white crack on one of the seeds. It wasn’t a full root yet, but it showed the germination had begun. I checked that the cotton was still moist and closed the bag carefully. Seeing that little crack made me feel happy because the process is working.

I didn't add water today because the cotton still felt perfect. This experience taught me to be more careful with moisture and the environment.
