  • Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 2,908,494.
  • According to the 2015 Census, the age group 5 to 9 has the highest population in Batangas, with 267,393 people. 
  • The age group with the smallest population, however, is 80 and up, with 24,609 people. When all age categories are combined, those aged 14 and under, which include infants/babies, children, and young adolescents/teenagers, account for 29.82 percent of the young dependent population (803,396). 
  • The economically active population and existing or potential members of the workforce, roughly those aged 15 to 64, account for 64.97 percent of the population (1,750,563). Finally, the elderly dependent population, which includes individuals aged 65 and up, accounts for 5.21 percent of the total population (140,376).

  • Agriculture has steadily declined in significance as a source of income in the province, despite the fact that many people still farm and fish. Many agricultural lands have been converted to residential, commercial, and industrial zones. Rice, corn, sugar, coffee, pineapple, and vegetables are examples of farm products.
