Write about a pivotal experience you have had that was influenced by the setting of where you were. What other options might have been available to you if you lived in a different place and time? What circumstances would have influenced you to make a different decision?

One pivotal experience that influenced me based on the setting was when me and my family took a trip to Canada. This experience’s setting prompted me to learn a lot about nature and the beauty of the world. My family takes yearly trips, for example, this year we are going to France and Italy, but the trip to Canada has been the best experience I have had so far. During our trip, we explored glaciers, ice caps, mountains, hikes, and so much more. The trip showed me how beautiful the world and nature is, it showed me how fragile life is as it exists, and how important it is to do what you can while you can do it. It is crazy to think that I could have been born in a time of war, or worse. I am so thankful of how lucky I am and cherish my life very dearly. I am very thankful that my family is able to live safely and free. I thank my parents for taking me on trips and it changed my life even if I didn't make the decision to go to Canada.
