Communes included several villages, thousands of acre of land, and as many as 20,000 people.The commune controlled the land as well as the peasents' lives. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>A lot of people in china blamed Mao for the disasters that followed the Great Leap Foward. People then wanted to take Mao's power and revolt against him. This led to Mao being concerned about factions and rival groups within China. In that moment, Mao believed that China's new generation had to experience a revolt. So he then launched the Cultural Revolution. </div>]]></description>
