A collaborative approach has value in the above-mentioned situation because the four principles that separate people from the problem, focusing on interests not power, inventing options for mutual gains, and focusing on objective credit define the seriousness of this approach. These terms help the negotiator to give a better solution by taking the problem away from the people so that they can focus on what is wrong and right they are doing it. The next help is focusing on each party's desires, hopes, and aspirations that lead to fulfilling both party's interests. The 3rd principle is focused on making the conversation open so that parties can comfortably express their thoughts without hesitation. the last principle prevents any of the parties will not be dominating another one.

These are the principles that make the bargaining approach valuable in the workplace as well as in other situations.

This collaborative approach is integrative per nature, what means that serves the interests of all parties and has a win-win basis. This is really important to me to rethink about it because I have a lawyes background in my life. In the beggining of my carrear I was the person that was willing to win all the times, because my company needed that. After that, I was hired to perform more negotioation roles and try to avoid the formal conflict on court at all costs and i thik was difficult to shift from a positional right based-aproach to a collaborative one, but now that I learned from ADR classes, I can see the mistakes that I made in the past and how could I improve my skills.
