2. How are we affected by literary texts in various ways? How are we impacted by TTTC?
Personally, I feel as though TTTC impacted my outlook towards the world. It brought in the perspective of life in a war where you don't know if you'd experience another tomorrow or today. 

3. In what ways is meaning constructed, negotiated, expressed and interpreted in TTTC?
O'Brien's TTTC utilizes various rhetorical choices to create ambiguous images to portray the different emotions he experienced before, during, and after the war.


4. How does the structure of style of TTTC affect its meaning?
Through his own perspective, O'Brien creates the story of TTTC that allows readers to understand and personally experience what the Vietnam War may have been like.

We approach literary texts from different times and cultures by obtaining an understanding of the historical situation of the time. With this understanding, we can have a more personal relationship with the text.

The meaning and impact of a literary text can change over time as social changes can occur, altering and developing different perspectives and opinions towards history.

Literary texts often represents the experiences of the writers during that time, allowing readers to obtain their perspectives and experiences.

Through Morrison's use of the structure and style within Beloved, readers are further immersed within her writing. Readers can develop opinions and understand the perspective of the narrative. With Morrison's use of the stream on consciousness, obtaining the perspective of characters within the story further develops their characteristics  and complexities.

Time and Space

It is important for cultural and historical content to applied to the production of literary texts because it is futile to accurately depict history. Spreading misinformation creates ignorance of what has occurred in the past, and it is futile for the tragedies of slavery and Margaret Gardner's case never happens again.

Chronicle of a Death Foretold offers insight into Columbian culture by providing readers the understanding of how important maintaining societal expectations are throughout the story due to the emphasis placed upon Machismo and Marianismo. Much of the story revolves around these two concepts of maintaining these standards in order to be acknowledged within the society.
