Student Chromebooks: Maybe this is where Rivera was going, but I guess we need to be thinking about C & I / Equity for Ss since many of our learners work "off-stage" to progress through their courses and/or to demonstrate competency.

My understanding was that the mill levy DPS passed in 2024 included money for one to one chromebooks for students. Having a class cart is not a one to one chromebook situation. Vesceri points out the issue of equity and that is exactly why the mill levy passed, to have equitable outcomes for students in technology. Almost all of our classes are pretty technology focused and require students to have a chromebook for lessons. With only ten chromebooks in my cart, I will not be able to effectively teach each day. I need a computer for each student in the room. Unless class size is capped at 10, it will be a problem.

Can someone create google group with all the admin and registration to make the invite process faster for the new sub policy? Compliance is more likely to occur when it's streamlined and efficient.

Heard an awesome idea from another Pathways School -- what does everybody think about having a kind of "Exit Interview" for Graduates, where we ask them what worked, and what didn't? The teacher I talked to said they only wished they had started doing it earlier -- really helped them.

Any updates on when/if the water fountain near the student lounge will be fixed? It's been out for quite awhile, and would be great to have as an option for students and staff.

As we get into Q2, and students finish at different times, do we have a place where those students can do, when they don't have a class? (This would be useful too, throughout the year; even during Q1 there are students finishing at different times.)

Thanks for the having the library available for students without classes during a period in the day. I don't think it is fair for Nancy to have to manage who should be in there as she already has a full time job with what she has on her plate. That being said, I did notice the other day that two students that should be in classes were hanging out in the library playing on their phones. What protocols will the success team put in place to monitor who is in the library without adding another responsibility to Nancy? Feel free to answer after a discussion with the success team.

Kenna Smith's screen addiction is out of control. I have not consulted the DSMV-5 but I would say she is addicted. People that teach her, what works for you. Maybe use down time during this meeting to list suggestions.

What could we do, as a school, to recognize our custodians? The one in the evening, for instance, is so conscientious and works so hard, but not sure she feels seen. Probably similar for our other custodians, I bet. Plus, we've had the same ones for a while, which is exceptional. Again, anything we could do for them, maybe a small gift from the school?

Not having summer school at EGHS will impact our enrollment. We typically get students 'who are ready to learn' during this time. I know this is out of everyone's locus of control, but if they make us RIB due to numbers next year can we point to this action and get grace from them? My guess is NO. :(

Is there anyway an admin can proctor MAP tests on Fridays? That way students don't have to miss class to take the MAP.

Can we NOT allow students on the 3rd floor on Fridays until 11:00am when tutoring starts. Some of us (myself included) need help with that boundary for protecting our time

Does EGHS have a system for tier 2 interventions? I'm sure stuff may be happening that is tier 2 but there does not seem to be a formal documentation system that teachers can reference.

If a teacher that is assigned to a class to help with translation is absent, can we figure out a system to help the content teacher with language support? It's best for students and teachers. This week a content teacher who does not speak Spanish had to 'go it alone' without any language support for two days. Not best practices.

Consider stipends to show love with money for organizers for prom and yearbook. They are big lifts and should not be taken for granted.

Derek has once in a while (I think?) had a class that is a make-up class in Q2 and Q4; students who had not finished in Q1 or Q3 could move to that class to work to finish. Is that something we could do more generally, next year? (Different teachers could have their make-up period at different times?)
