Hello my Name is Bella. I go to Seminole Middle School, I love just chillin' and hanging out with my friends or at home. I love my Vans Checker board shoes. My second home is my dance studio and if I'm not there or at school I'm at home. I also love sweatshirts in cold rooms because it's just great. I'm not a fan of school but I survive. I love food, even though I'm a vegetarian I still like food. One of the few conversation starters I get is talking about how tall I am and how short that someone is. It's ironic because my last name is the opposite of my self (short). And then they are talking about how we should switch last names. Anyway..... I learn best when I'm in small groups with people I know or when a teacher is explaining something. It's hard for me to focus if the room is silent and I'm not working with someone (that I know). I need some sound because if there isn't I will stare into whatever and forget everything. Well now you sorta know me and welcome to my "blog" : ).

There wouldn't be happy faces while petting cute furry animals. They do funny things that will make you laugh and they are very helpful. Dogs are great pets because they are helpful and they make great family pets.

Dogs make great pets because they are helpful. They help with your physical and mental health. "...the science says, pretty clearly, that owning a dog is seriously good for your mental and physical health over the course of your life, particularly if you suffer from stress or depression." (Bustle article). This shows, that dogs can help you with your depression and/or stress. If your not depressed or stressed then you will most likely be happier. "...guide dogs are trained to lead their owners safely around obstacles."(Healthy Pets article). This means, that dogs can help disabled people. If the dog is trained properly t then they can become guide dogs. Guide Dogs are dogs that are trained to help disabled people be able to do every day things. Like crossing the street to go to the store, to get grocery's. Dogs are helpful to humans in many ways.

Dogs make great family friendly pets. The article clearly states that,"...dogs are perfectly happy to socialize with everyone in the family..."(Pet MD Article). This means, that dogs socialize with families and are happy while doing so. This is also insisting, that most dogs will just love on you and want attention, and not care who they are getting it from. PetHelpful's article states, "...they adapt to pretty much any situation that you put them in.". This means that dogs can be adaptable to different situations. So, this is saying that if you adopt a dog from an animal shelter the dog will most likely be able to adapt to your home, eventually.

In conclusion, dogs are great pets because they are helpful to humans and they make great family friendly pets. This fact is proven by the websites: Bustle, Healthy Pets, Pet MD, and PetHelpful. This is because, it states the reasons of each piece of evidence.

Civics

Blog #1
In Civics we learned about Citizenship. One of the targets were how to become a citizen. There are three ways to become a citizen. There is the Naturalization process, Law of Soil, and Law of Blood. The first step to become a citizen in the Naturalization process is being able to meet the requirements. The requirements are; you must be at least 18 and older, you must at least be employed in the US for 5 years, or if you are in the military for 3 years, they must have been a resident in the US for 5 years or 3 if they have a married partner, they must be able to read and write good English, they must be able to show a good moral character, and you must be able to pass a US civics test. Then the second step is to, fill out an application and send it to the USCIS and then they will read it and approve it to make sure that you meet the requirements. Then, once it is approved you take a US civics test to determine if the applicant can read write and speak English. Some applicants take classes to pass this test. And the last step is to celebrate. Most applicants participate in a special ceremony and take an oath to be loyal to only the US. The new citizen signs a paper to make other promises like to follow the US Constitution. If the citizen has children under the age of 18 they automatically become citizens too. Law of Soil is if you were born on US territory you are a citizen. Law of Blood is when one of your parents is a US citizens that makes you a US citizen if you weren't born in the US, even if the other parent isn't a citizen.

Blog #2
Another thing we learned in civics was Monitoring and Influencing Government. It's the act of media upon government and influencing other to believe what there bias is. ALL media is bias. Media stands for "median" which refers to multiple ways of communication. We all have our own bias. The media influences us by propaganda, and the different forms of propaganda. The different types off propaganda are; Card Stacking, when they show a running candidates good features and not the bad once, Testimonial, when they have a celebrity advertise or endorse something or a candidate. Glittering Generalities, when you use short phrases or words to describe something or someone. Transfer is when you use symbols to convey a message or feeling. Plain Folks is when candidates act like they are normal people. Bandwagon is when you like something or someone because everybody else does. And Name Calling is when you use negative words against someone.

Blog #1
One of the things that we learned in science was plate tectonics and the Earth's layers. The first thing is the Earth's layers. The top layer is the Continental crust, then the Oceanic crust, the crust is one of the more cooler layers. Then the Lithosphere(upper mantle), then the Asthenosphere (upper mantle), then the mesosphere(part of mantle), the mesosphere(mantle) is a more hotter layer and it is a very thick layer too. And the outer core, and then the inner core are the hottest layers that make up the core. The crust is the most studied layer of the Earth's layers because it's t the top and most known about because we also live on the crust. Now the the theory of tectonic plates is the theory that once all the plates were once together. It's a theory because it cannot be proven but scientist have found fossils on other continents that don't belong there that match on other continents. What moves the plates are the currents in the Asthenosphere. The different boundaries are convergent, when two plates more toward each other, divergent, when two plates more apart and transform, when two plates slide past each other. Transform boundaries cause major earthquakes. Divergent boundaries cause rift valleys and mid-ocean ridges. And convergent boundaries cause trenches, volcanic chains, and mountains.

Blog #2
One of the other things we learned in science is the rock cycle. There are 3 different types of rocks and they are all formed in different ways but they can be formed into each other. The 3 different rocks are Igneous, Metamorphic, and Sedimentary. Metamorphic rock is changed into Igneous rock by metamorphic melting, the the igneous rock is changed into magma and when the magma cools it turns back into Igneous. Igneous rock turns into Sedimentary rock by weathering and erosion. The weathering and erosion turn the Igneous rock into sediments that go through cementation and compaction and then it turns into Sedimentary rock. Sedimentary rock is changed into Metamorphic rock by heat and pressure. Subsurface are thing things that take place above the surface and subsurface are the things that happen below the surface. Sand dunes are made by erosion because the wind and water erode the sand dunes. Lakes are made by glaciers because when the glacier melts it forms a lake by erosion. Sinkholes are made by weathering because below the surface the ground is all broken up. Auquifers are when water comes from underground which is erosion. Sea levels change according to climate. More water underground may cause below the surface to erode ad weather. Humans impact the Earth by polluting it. People leave there trash every where, or throw it out of car windows onto the streets, people build factories that cut down trees on the property so that they can build bigger buildings affecting the planet(ect.). The Lithosphere, the Hydrosphere, the Atmosphere, and Biosphere are all part of the earth that are impacted by humans. The hydrosphere is polluted by red tide, trash, and oil spills. The Lithosphere is polluted littering, urbanization, deforestation, and land use. The Biosphere is impacted by organisms that who live in the biospohere, hunting and more. And the Atmosphere is impacted by humans by factories that pollute the air, and the green house effect.
