I didn't find any aspect of the Spring School challenging. The most rewarding experience was the group discussions in the way we were able to reach compromises, as well as the informal exchanges about wide-ranging issues that were not directly related to the topic of the Spring School

The most challenging aspect was the cost of a dealing with a very different time zone without the benefit of being in Italy!

I am very tired of looking at computer screens these days and the artificial nature of virtual meetings can be unsatisfying. However, my group was able to make real connections with each other and I look forward to building on those connections in the future.

I had been expecting to spend much more time engaging with the capability approach and using it in our workshop, since that is closely related to my research. But, it was still nice to see the capabilities approach at the end and I have found some colleagues here that are also interested in the capability approach. I look forward to continuing our capabilities discussions outside of the spring school.

in my opinion the most challenging aspect has been the negotiation in planning a project starting from totally different backgrounds in using methods. difficult to match.

Challenging
1. speaking/being silent in plenary: it was not easy, especially the first two days I think I never spoke. Also "dealing" with silence...it was not a sign of disattention or non-interest
2. trying to express "relevant" concepts in a different language.
3. keeping the attention threshold active despite the online mode
4. communicating at a distance is sometimes tiring
5. maybe i would prefered to participate just in one workshop during the second day

I found it very rewarding to be able to attend very interesting lectures, many insights, the possibility to work in heterogeneous group, to practice english. Also receive relevant feedback from professors after the presentation

The most challenging aspect was to stay focus all day long since the schedule was extremely interesting, but “intense”. However, I realised that, at the end of the day, I was feeling rewarded. What I most enjoyed was the process of the group work and the attention and the advice the professors gave us that I will definitely treasure. I feel empowered and inspired.
