         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>The gas bubbles are made from a new substance. My reasoning for this statement is if you look back to page 35 you can see what different what different substances create gas bubbles. Gas is a state of matter like solids and liquids, gas has gas particles that take up space. The first one was carbon dioxide which was created when the baking soda, water, and citric acid combined together to create fizzing and some gas particles.<br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

Evidences to support this claim is when we began we thought it was only water and bath bomb. So the bubbles can be made by different substances just like baking soda and citric acid.  Some key model ideas are A substance has properties that can help us identify it and properties don't change for a substance which means it can be different substances and not always the same.</div>]]></description>

         <title>The bubbles are from a new substance.  Evidence to support my claim is that when we did the experiment of testing the substances, the substance fizz.  That tells us that the gas is not coming from the bath bomb because the gas is new.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[The gas in the bubbles is a new substance. Because in the beggining we started with 3 different substances which were baking soda in solid, citric acid in solid, and water in liquid. Once they were mixed together a reaction happened between them all that then created the gas bubbles! Its like when we crushed the bath bomb, if we were to put baking soda in a bag alone nothimg would happen no gas nothing, the same with citric acid. And we know water couldnt create any kind of gas alone, and all of them are solids and liquids so when mixed together thats when they create a new gas substance by the reaction!

I also know that the gas is a new substance because it wasnt there at first because when we broke the bath bomb in half there wasnt any gas. Citric acid and baking soda are solids at room temputure and water is a liquid a room tempeture so that means it cant make gas. Properties don't change for a substance because the gas properties didnt change for the substance of the baking soda and citric acid.<br><br></div>]]></description>
