         <title>       ABOUT ME           Hi everyone! I wanna start by telling you a little about myself. I grew up  dancing my whole life up until college, so I have always been a very active individual. Once I began college, I became very interested in the  whole health and fitness trend on social media. I began researching and learning more about weight lifting and macronutrients. This is when my health and fitness journey began. Weight lifting has become my passion, along with eating a predominently whole-foods  diet. Not to say I don&#39;t treat myself often... its all about balance :) This is no longer a phase for me, but a lifestyle. </title>

         <title>        MY GOAL            My goal for this semester is to make it a new habit to stretch for at least 10 minutes every day. Stretching has so many benefits, especially for weight lifters. It helps to improve flexibility and posture, helps release tension and reduce soreness, prevents injury, and increases muscle control and range of motion. Although I strength sometimes breifly, I would like to make it more of a priority in my life.</title>

         <title>           SELF-COMPASSION</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>        <strong>              WEEK 1</strong><br>Last week I was able to stretch 5 out of the 7 days. Although my initial plan was to stretch each morning, honestly, I have been stretching whatever time of the day fits best with my schedule, whether it’s in the morning, after my workout, or before bed. I didn’t get down on myself for missing two days or for not following my plan to the T. Sometimes I had to prioritize other things first and that’s okay. Homework was one thing that got in the way of my plan. Instead of stretching in the morning, I actually had some assignments to complete, so I ended up stretching later in the day. On Tuesday I honestly had just forgotten about stretching all together, since my new behavior is a new part of my routine. On Saturday I had worked a double and had gone out with some friends after, so once I got home I was beat and ready for bed. <br><br>Although my plan didn’t go quite as I had hoped, I made the effort and am better than I was a week ago, so I look at the bigger picture. I feel like I have had more successes than failures, and this is only the beginning of my journey.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This past week has been a struggle to say the least. I have been sick, on top of having bad allergies all week long, as well as having an annoying headache that won’t go away. Since I haven’t been feeling the best, I have been extremely unmotivated to do anything. I still managed to both workout and stretch 4 days last week, but being sick really got in the way of my goal. I wish I would have been harder on myself and taken just 10 minutes the other 3 days to stretch, because honestly I felt better on the days that I just pushed though and achieved my goal. It made me feel more motivated to get other stuff done, as well as feeling accomplished, despite not feeling well. If I could go back, I definitely would have pushed myself more. That being said, I am feeling much better this week and have been currently reaching my goal every day! :)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Week three was a success! I was proactive and planned out in my weekly planner specific times that I could stretch. This really helped me to stay on track. I also felt physically much better this week, since I had been sick the week prior. I stretched morning or evening every day for at least 10 minutes, except for Saturday because I worked a double at my job. My boyfriend was also very supportive and really pushed me to reach my goals this week. He also stretched with me a few times which was nice. Hoping week 4 is just as successful :)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Week four did not go as I had hoped. I would consider this past week a relapse; I only stretched 3 days of the week. Not only did I relapse and not stretch, but I relapsed in all areas of my health and fitness. I didn't go to the gym once this past week, nor did I eat healthy. I have been under a lot of stress with school work and been extremely unmotivated. I have been stress eating and not coping with my stress in healthy ways. I know that if I had just gone to the gym or stretched each morning I would have had a much more positive mindset for the rest of the day and probably would have gotten more done. I wish I could go back and re-do this past week, especially because I had been doing so well up until that point. I don't think I put in the effort as I had during week 3. I should have set alarms and had reminders throughout the week. Although this week wasn't very successful, I won't let this short term relapse affect my long term success. </div>]]></description>

Didn't get too down on myself for not stretching the other 2 days because I had a lot going on. But I definitely felt extra good and energetic on the days I was able to stretch.          <title>           WEEK 6 &amp; 7</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The past 2 weeks have been pretty hectic for me. I have begun the process of applying for grad school and studying to take my GRE exam. It has been difficult to get myself into the gym and I have been so busy that I have been eating out constantly instead of making food at home. However, I have managed to stretch for 10 minutes most days of the week. During week 6 I only stretched 3 out of 7 days, but last week I was able to stretch 5 out of the 7 days which I would call an accomplishment! I definitely notice a change in mood when I am able to take the time to stretch, relax, and take my mind off of all life stressors just for a few minutes. </div>]]></description>

         <title>                WEEK 8</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week I only stretched on Monday. This isn't a surprise because I usually start the week of strong. However the rest of the week I just couldn't find the time or energy because all of my energy was being put towards studying for the GRE. For those who don't know, the GRE is like the ACT, but for grad school. I have been so consumed with studying for that, as well as the grad school application process, that I really wasn't focused on anything else. Stretching was definitely not a priority or me this week, however, I am not getting down on myself for it. This has been a really busy semester for me so I am happy with hw far I have come in my journey to wellness and am proud of the small accomplishments I have made. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My boyfriend was extremely helpful and supportive this week. He knows I have been under a lot of stress with school, work and grad school stuff, so he has been trying his hardest to help me through everything. I wanted to finish off the semester strong, so I managed to stretch 5 out of the 7 days. My boyfriend got up early with me three days in a row to stretch with me. We rewarded ourselves after by either making a nice breakfast together or going out to breakfast. Its so much easier to achieve goals when you have someone supporting you throughout the process. Stretching in the morning really helped give me some motivation for the rest of the day and helped me to get stuff done. I finished some grad school applications, finished a 6 page paper, and even went to the gym a few times. I would say this was an overall good week for me.</div>]]></description>
