I'm a BTESL Student from MSU College Sabah and this is my first semester for Bachelor after coming from Foundation in TESL. I was originally born in Alor Setar, Kedah but moved to Sabah when I was a baby. I live in Sabah for 19 Years now and after completing my Bachelor's in TESL, I would love to return to Kedah and stay there forever. As for my favorite hobby, I got plenty actually from Playing Video Games (PS4), Listening to Music (Olivia Rodrigo), Exercise/Jogging in the evening (if there isn't any class), Reciting poems and the list goes on. Essentially, I'm quite an active person in general and really easily approachable but it will take some time for newcomers to know me well. The reason why I chose TESL is that I love English as a whole since I was in primary school. I love the language and how fascinating it is for me to learn this language from literature work to pronunciation. My ambition currently is to become an English Teacher but I do have another ambition which is becoming a host just like Nabil Ahmad, Pak Nil, and so on. The reason why I wanted to become a teacher is that I love teaching and educating people with knowledge even though it is small but it is still beneficial for both me and them to learn. This happened because back in my form 5 years during SPM, my English teacher did not do a good enough job for us to learn and love the English subject. So, my friend looked up to me for advice and tips about English and how to answer questions such as Summaries and Essays. it did work and my classmates did get good grades from it and from that point, it just ticks that I have this ambition to educate people with knowledge no matter what their social status is or what ethnicities are they. I just want to educate these people to become greater with the knowledge that they can use in their life. As for my second ambition to becoming a host. I'm a bold but brave person with high confidence. We can see from our first class on Sunday that I am always trying to answer the question that Madam Nabilah provides and I'm not too shy of answering the question because that is my nature and my extroverted behavior kicks in. that's what we see in a host as well. So, if I did not want to become an English Teacher, I would like to become a host for a TV Show or any live events because I like to talk to a lot of people. That's all for my introduction. My hobby is collecting many types of cactus and succulents and taking care of them. Now I have quite a huge collection of these specific types of plants in my village in Kota Belud. Other than that, I also enjoy listening to Mamamoo, which is a very talented Kpop girl group. Their music are soooooooo good and I love them so much. This group consists of 4 members which are Solar, MoonByul, Wheein, and Hwasa. I really love them because they really inspire me in so many different way. One of the things that really touch my heart is when Hwasa tell this to her fans during their concert; "If I don't fit in this generation beauty standards, then I will become a different standard". The reason why I chose TESL is because my dad is an English teacher. He is my inspiration up until now. When I was a little kid, my dad would always fetch me from school and go back to his school because there would be activities or some other things he would have to do before leaving. So I grew up knowing most of his students, many of them would tell me how fun and good of a teacher my dad is. Seeing his students love him gave me a reason why I wanted to be one as well but other than that, it’s also because I want to go back to Korea and teach Korean students English.
