One dropped out and left twenty-nine to create the code. They were the ones who created the code and took it to war.   • An estimated amount of 400 Navajos enlisted in the  program
  • Many were underage and lied about their age.
  • Unknown to the Navajo Code Talkers, there were bodyguards placed on them.
  • A Navajo man was tortured by the Japanese. They wanted him to brake the code. He was not able and would not brake the code for the Japanese.
