Al-Quran as the book of guidance

The functions of the Al-Quran is blessing and guidance for mankind, especially for Muslims in this world. It is the duty of the scholars at any time to find the existing arguments and process them with the right to provide legal certainty to problems that arise in time. To know the law of a problem based on the most appropriate arguments, it is necessary to update the right one, namely the Al-Quran because it has covered all problems in life. Moreover, Al-Quran is a light that appears in the hearts of Muslims, which breaks the flower of faith, appears in life so that it becomes light, rises to the heavens of mankind so that a plan of peace and guidance appears to humans to introduce their status and obligations, then lead to the straight path. This statement means that Al-Quran is guidance for humans. The function of Al-Quran globally is as a principle of the Islamic religion, in which there is the principle of every science in human language past and present and the future. Al-Quran is more than just a Holy Book, it is also a very useful book or a perfect reference.

Adab in Learning Knowledge

The adab of the student requires him to respect all disciplines of knowledge while acknowledging that they exist in a hierarchy, as some disciplines are given priority over others. They should study the basics before proceeding to more advanced levels. Adab in this regard is not just having the right knowledge but also the right practice of that knowledge. Therefore, education in Islam does not only instill right knowledge to the students, but also trains them to properly act in accord with that knowledge.

Week 3_Six Pillars of Iman

1.Belief in Allah
Believing in Allah is the foundation of Islam. It is also the basis of the pillars of faith and Islam. Therefore, the confession "there is no true god but Allah" becomes the first part of the two words of shahadah. Faith in Allah is the first pillar of faith

2.Belief in Angles
One of the pillars of faith is to have faith in angels. Every mukallaf or Muslim who has been given the responsibility is obliged to believe in the existence of angels and they are creatures created by Allah. A person's faith is invalid if he does not believe in Allah and all things related to them. Angels belong to the supernatural. Their existence is acknowledged with evidence that cannot be doubted or disputed. Whoever does not want to believe in them, that person becomes an infidel. All Muslims agree with this law.

3.Belief in the Books of Allah
Belief in the Books of Allah is a fundamental aspect of Islamic faith. Instead of Qur'an, we also must belief others 3 books of Allah namely Zabur, Tawrat and Injeel. It involves acknowledging that Allah revealed divine scriptures to various prophets throughout history. These books were sent to guide humanity, providing teachings on how to live a righteous life and worship Allah correctly.

4.Belief in All of Allah Messengers

In Islam, belief in all of Allah’s messengers is essential. Muslims believe that Allah sent messengers to every nation to guide them to worship Him alone. These messengers, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad, preached the same core message of monotheism and righteousness. Muslims are required to believe in all messengers without distinction, as rejecting any one of them is akin to rejecting all. The lives and teachings of these prophets serve as role models, guiding and inspiring believers in their faith and daily lives.

5.Belief in the Day of Judgment and Hereafter

Believing in the hereafter is a valid condition of an individual's faith. A person who denies or doubts it, then his faith is invalid, and he becomes an apostate, i.e. he has departed from Islam. This matter was agreed upon by all scholars. Believing in the existence of the Hereafter and the things that happen in it such as the resurrection of all mankind, the reckoning, the recompense of heaven, hell and others that are the basis of faith. He must be believed in addition to having faith in Allah.

6.Belief in Divine and Decree

Among the pillars of faith is faith in divine and decree. All good and evil and bitter things happen with the will and stipulation of Allah who is wise and just in all creation. Divine means Allah's will to azali (always) who depends on something and conforms to what is held. Decree means something according to what is determined by the person in the circumstances, nature, time, position and reason.

Ihsan in the hadith of Jibril tells us that we must be able to believe in the supernatural. For example, when we are praying, we should believe that Allah is always watching. If we believe that, then we are afraid to commit immorality.

Adab with Parents

As a child, no matter how bad our parents are, don't be rude to them. Like the life of Prophet Ibrahim, he always invited his father to embrace Islam without coercion and in a gentle tone. However, his father rejected Prophet Ibrahim's offer and kicked him out of the house. Prophet Ibrahim accepted as it was willingly additions he asked God to forgive his father's sins.

In literal hikmah means wisdom or philosophy.
In technical hikmah refers to wisdom from Allah, ingenuity Islamic da'wah must be carried out in full and coincide with the culture and climate of Malaysia. Allah does everything according to His will and according to what has been prescribed by Him.
الحِكْمَةُ ضَالَّةُ المُؤْمِنِ فَحَيْثُ وَجَدَهَا فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا meaning: The wisdom of wisdom is the lost property of the mu'min; Wherever he finds it, he is the one who has the most right over him.

Surah Al-Mukminun(23;1-2)

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ١

Meaning: Certainly will the believers have succeeded:

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى صَلَاتِهِمْ خَـٰشِعُونَ ٢

Meaning: They who are during their prayer humbly intent

In this world of God, success is for one who is a true believer, one who khusyu in sallah which devotes himself fully to God and not to anybody other than God, and who leads a God-oriented life. There are many ways to get khusyu:

Ṣabr (Patience and Forbearance)
Sabr, which means to bind, endure, or hold back, is derived from the Arabic word sa-ba-ra. It also refers to the practice of controlling one's lust in order to maintain self-control, such as controlling one's anger or reminding oneself of Allah SWT. The importance of patience in a person's life is demonstrated by the fact that the word is used more than 90 times in the Quran.
Takrīm (Respect and deference)
Fasting is regarded in Islamic teachings as a noble practice that is greatly blessed by Allah SWT. In addition to enhancing self-control, fasting draws one nearer to Allah SWT. In fasting, the idea of "takrim" (glory) entails:
- Compliance with Allah SWT's directives.
- Pursuing intimacy with Allah SWT.
- Practice self-control.
- Promote compassion and affection.
Raḥmah (Friendliness)
In Islam, "Rahmah"—which translates to "mercy"—is closely associated with fasting. Fasting is thought to help develop a number of virtues, such as:
- Requesting Allah SWT's mercy
- Reflecting on Allah SWT's Mercy
- Develop Compassion and Empathy
- Forgiveness and Peacemaking
- Developing a Graceful Personality
