This year is my last year studying and my first year teaching English during internship at primary school. My dream was to help children and do good in the world and I believe by being a teacher I can achieve this.

Teaching is my calling. I really enjoy passing knowledge to children and see them grow mentally and cognitively. I believe that a good teacher can make a change in a student’s life and get the beast out of the student’s. During college I had teaching practice every year for about a month. I used the skills I learnt and implemented them in the classroom. I also worked at the children’s playground, where I animated children for birthday parties and other opportunities. Now I am working at the family center in Ljubljana. I animate children for birthday parties; I prepare different activities and babysit if necessary and during summer I will work at holiday day camp. Working at children’s playground and family center gave me a lot of opportunities to work with parents and practice skills needed for good relationship with them, something I didn’t have an opportunity to do at school. And working with children in school and in camps and playground helped me understand the group dynamics and gave me opportunities to implement my knowledge in practice.
