Reverend Martin Luther king Jr. sent a telegram to Alabama Governor George Wallace, a staunch and vocal segregationist, stating bluntly: 'The blood of our little children is on your hands." The brutal attack and the deaths of the four little girls shocked the nation and drew international attention to the violent struggle for civil rights in Birmingham. Many whites were as outraged by the incident as blacks and offered services and condolences to the families. Over, 8,000 people attended the girls' funeral service at Reverend John Porter's Sixth Avenue Baptist Church.

Based on this incident that had occurred purposely murdered these four little girls it reminds me of the event that spiraled up the protests of Black lives matter. campaigns took in place to end violence and systemic racism towards Black people and other people of color. George floyd had been killed by a US police officer in May 2020 in inhumane ways which made people protest and take in action from ongoing matters.

I’ve learned how white oppressed black people no matter the age. it was rare for a change of circumstances due to empathy or being human in itself. i hope people acknowledge that this is still happening till this day it may not be as bad but it’s still put out there. Educate one another to stop history from repeating.
