Read and understand the text, pointing out the forms of the present continuous tense

Electronic devices and virtual libraries provide users with immense computing resources. But does anyone have an idea of how much of this information is actually read in this format? Where does the reader stand in the digital age?

It is clear that most people find it uncomfortable to read on a screen. The issue is not electronic publishing itself, but rather the way it is received. Our way of reading is accustomed and adapted to printed paper. Electronic publishing is a revolutionary medium, but we must revolutionize our way of writing and reading to fully take advantage of this new format offered by computers. But how? A brief look at the history of reading reminds us of the significant changes it has undergone, largely depending on what the 'technology' of the time allowed in terms of the materials on which writing was done. We feel so comfortable with the book format, composed of many numbered sheets of paper where printed text is presented in successive chapters, in turn formed by paragraphs, with tables of contents and/or indexes that indicate the logical divisions of the content, that we forget this format is relatively recent in the history of writing.
