I enjoyed interviewing and trying to pick apart the key parts of what I learnt throughout, I enjoyed taking facts and solving them into a narrative. To improve I need to focus on keeping it concise and descriptive, and remembering to leave out unnecessary parts. throughout the session I learnt interviewing skills such as being able to help my interviewee find meaning within their answers that they were also unaware of at the beginning. I also like to delve into their meanings to gain insight myself. I enjoyed tv as it is within my comfort zone in media, I really enjoy decoding the connotations and techniques used in tv. I am also interested in codes and conventions so it was interesting to learn about what different camera shots can tell you about a narrative. It was also very fun to create our own short video, however I think I could’ve improved in this taster more if I had more time to edit my video as it had some continuity problems and could’ve used some non diegetic sound. However I also really like making storyboards.

I also appreciated seeing everyone else’s vision as I find it really enjoyable seeing other people’s ideas. I think my final piece would be better if I had a better quality to camera to enhance the finer details and truly represent my vision of two people sharing closeness compared to a large atmosphere. I also think that to improve I could go to different locations. I also like the process where you draw one simple idea and spiral until you have reached a final one. I am interested in creative design and conveying messages through symbols and metaphors. I enjoyed the interview as I got to use skills like engaging to get the depth of the answers given by my interviewee. In 'my dream world' I got to use literary skills to convert a written piece into one that is easy for listeners to engage with. I was able to use editing skills on Adobe Audition, using my own research to learn how to use the software. I also enjoyed the story writing and using words from others to create our own narratives. This was interesting to see everyone’s ideas span from one promt and compare our perspectives.  To improve I would try a different version of writing such as poetry.
