Both went through inequality and injustice.

There is an intersectional history struggle for African American and latinx history. Both have a part of America but are just not getting enough credit to where it is being due. This text reveals the systems that produce oppression. In the text, it states, ¨There are many in the United States today who believe that there is only one way to be an “American,” but history teaches us that this is not true. To quote Aimé Césaire, “There is room for all at the Rendezvous of Victory.”¨. This statement shows the American history is not only made behind whites because obviously its not history if other races aren't involved so its impossible to apply blockage to those races without there being questions that connect back to the ¨white American¨ history.

It helps us illustrate how the injustices of the United States throughout the years have impacted African Americans and Latinx.

To show the similarities that we African Americans share with Latinx history. “United States cannot expect to succeed in establishing friendly relations or gain commercial growth and influence in Latin America until they have rightly and forever settled the race problem in this country” Paragraph 2.

The author connect African American history to Latinx History to prove that they have similar identities. In the text it states “They have Indian blood in their veins; so have we. They have African blood in their veins; so have we. They have European blood in their veins; so have we. It is only a difference in degree.” Which goes back to the concept of double consciousness 

We both share the problem of white oppression and abuse through the same form and concept. Evidence from paragraph one says it all “[The African American and Latinx History of the United States] is a story about how people across the hemisphere wove together antislavery, anticolonial, pro-freedom, and pro-working class movements against tremendous obstacles.”

How does studying African American and Latinx history give us a more accurate understanding of American history?

You will learn more about your own genetic background being a person of color who sees America  as white but there's really dozens of different ethnicity backgrounds that are not taught to most communities.

Because its the same thing because they did the same things like African Americans to be like them and work together and be in groups i think.

The author connects African American history with Latinx history because they became more interactive with each other by coming together as one.
