         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Mahatma Gandhi </strong>was an Indian pacifist and a spiritual leader whose nonviolence ideas have strongly influenced the world. He was also the main leader of the campaign for India's independence from the United Kingdom, which happened in 1947. In 1983, the movie <em>Gandhi</em>, in which story is told, was nominated for eleven Oscars and won in eight categories, including Best Picture, Best Director for Richard Attenborough, and Best Actor for Ben Kingsley.</div>]]></description>
