         <description><![CDATA[<p>Around 400 B.C., Greek philosophers Leucippus and Democritus suggested that everything is made of tiny, indivisible particles called atoms and empty space. They thought different types of atoms made up different materials, but they had no proof for their ideas. In contrast, Aristotle believed matter was continuous and could be divided forever. He thought everything was made from four elements: water, air, fire, and earth. Aristotle's ideas were more widely accepted and lasted for many years, while the atomic theory was not proven at that time.</p>]]></description>

Protons have a positive charge, neutrons are neutral, and electrons have a negative charge.
