I didn't have the best relationship with him, but he was the new person that I was going to have adapt to. At this time, I started going to Hosp elementary. I met someone by the name of Carter, and he was really kind and a smart guy. He would always try to help me with anything. He helped me get along with my step-dad. It was the first I was going to be away from my dad for more than a week. I wanted to stay with him, but I was going to my grandma grandpa's house for the next however many years. My sister, Lexi, would always comfort me because she knew that I was essentially still a baby. I would see her every other week on Friday after school. Meg would always help help me with practically anything I struggled with, including my relationship with my step-dad. She would tell me different ways I could interact with him that wouldn't make me or my step-dad uncomfortable. Every time I would come back I would tell her if said thing worked or not, and we would go off of that. We would also play different types of games where we shared various past experiences which made me feel better about everything.
