The value of hope has always been the value of confidence for everyone. It opens many opportunities for many to be persistent on finding the right path for them. It never fails to persuade a person that someday, his/her time will still come to let his/her dreams come true. It’s just up for a person to either be encouraged by hope to show courage and wisdom upon striving for the better tomorrows or just let the opportunity pass out up until the day of regret will bounce back. Always remember that once hope reigns in our lives, doors for many chances will never close.

Life has been hard ever since, and it became more challenging as the pandemic hit. We have gone through hardships and pain that maybe we started to forget the different virtues in our lives. After the event, I realized the significance of these virtues, starting with hope. It is the root of all. A relaxed life comes from hoping that we overcome obstacles, achieve our goals, have good relationships with others, and feel contentment. With these goals, it encourages us to value our other virtues too. The first is courage. This virtue gives us the push to face everything we fear. It provides the strength to do everything we want to. Then we have wisdom and humility. Having these means having the ability to conquer difficulties by making decisions with exceptional thinking and understanding. Next is love and joy, wherein loving yourself, your friends, colleagues, and your families will allow us to feel happiness and bliss. Then there is self-control and patience. It is important to know when and how to act accordingly to different situations. Not giving in to temptations and being patient will allow us to pave the right path for ourselves. These are the keys to having a positive life and a serene one. When everyone else starts to pay more attention to these virtues, our future will surely be not as bad as we think it is.

What is hope? During many hard times, especially now during the pandemic, we... or at least me, I sometimes find myself asking "what is hope?". Searching for the answer was of course not easy. I tried searching on the internet for many hours but to no avail. I was never satisfied with the descriptions Wikipedia served me. Although it was very detailed, I'll give it a point for that. But as many problems after problems after problems hit me, even though I never gave up looking for the answer, I felt like I was getting farther and farther away from it. It felt like an endless loop of opening doors. But what's scary about it is that I know that even though I opened the door in front of me, I know that there will always be another door that will keep blocking me no matter how many times I open one. Staying at home not only gave me time to rest, but most of the time, It gave me so much time to reflect and be covered by anxiety. But after watching the event, I realized something. Hope was always inside of me the whole time. I just didn't notice it. Hope is one of our virtue. It's a part of us. It's up to us what we do to it. We can add up to it, remove from it, or even change it the way we liked it. Also, while watching the event, I remembered a saying that says that "you cannot give others what you don't have" meaning that we can also give our hope to others. I believe that hope can save us all from any problems. If we can just exchange hope with everyone, I believe that's when our world will become a better place to walk to. Everybody can change. It is up to us whether we muster up the courage and become a better person. No matter what hardships we go through, what mazes we lost into, hope is always our comrade. So show I will show it to others as well, how hopeful I've become.

Since the pandemic, there has been a severe downfall in emotions, and ever since then, life seems so hard. It feels like a never-ending cycle of hardships. As we enter the second year of the pandemic, many things have changed: our hope, patience, and wisdom have all shifted based on our perspective that we forgot that there is more to life than this pandemic. When I watched the live program, I recognized the value of different virtues in life, particularly hope, which unites all the other virtue. The first virtue mentioned is courage which motivates us to do things out of our comfort zone and gives us the power to achieve our goals in life. Wisdom is the virtue that helps with reasoning and comprehension as well as using knowledge to its extent. Freedom from pride and arrogance defines humility. Then we have a love that we can express to ourselves and family which gives us contentment and connects to the other virtue, joy. Patience and self-control are as important as the other virtue because it’s important to understand how we act in certain scenarios. These are the things that I learned that made me realize a lot of things in my life and everyone should begin to value these virtues as much as I do to have a more positive outlook on our situation.

After hearing the seven speakers from each section deliver their speeches, I didn't just listen and throw it off after the event; I treasured it in my mind and heart. Each of the seven virtues: Love, Humility, Joy, Self-control, Wisdom, Courage, Patience impacted me in many ways. In LOVE, I discovered that love can bring both wonderful and unfavorable things into her lives. It could be a blooming or wilting flower. As the spokesperson stated, less or too much love has varied results. Now I believe that this will assist me in keeping my love balanced in several aspects. When it comes to HUMILITY, I comprehend that while it may appear to be a bad trait at first glance, it is actually a strength in understanding elements of life. As I listened to the speech about JOY, I realized that it's not just about the materialistic things that bring us enjoyment for a brief moment; it 's much deeper and wider. It's already within us; all we have to do now is sense it and claim it. The virtue of SELF-CONTROL made me realize that there are many things that tempt us, mainly when we are going through difficult times, and we are drawn to make our life better by doing such terrible crimes. This made me believe that if you have love, knowledge, courage, humility, joy, patience, and most importantly, trust in yourself, you can overcome all of those temptations. The speech WISDOM made me realize that being intelligent isn't just about getting good grades or showing your intelligence to others; it's also about having knowledge that benefits our mind and body. In the midst of the pandemic, wisdom will aid us in avoiding unfavorable situations. It also keeps us healthy in our physical, mental, and emotional aspects. COURAGE, the speech elicited strong emotions in me. Because it takes a great deal of bravery to face each day. I'm going to start venturing out of my comfort zone progressively from now on. I'm willing to take chances. In all I do, I will be courageous. Finally, PATIENCE is a virtue that will influence you in a multitude of ways. If we are unsure of today, as said in the speech, waiting will help us be mindful tomorrow.

Through the pandemic still going, almost 3 years, and more and more problems keep adding, I was on the verge of giving up, forgetting the sole meaning of hope which is the only thing I'm holding on to. Until this event made me remember the reasons why I should keep hoping and living. At the start of the program, the first virtue of hope, Courage is mentioned. The ability to have the strength to do what you want in any circumstances, the ability to keep on fighting even in the midst of hardships. We have wisdom, that helps us make good decision-making and reasonable judgments through understanding and experiences. Humility, that helps us strengthen our understanding of the process of life. The virtue, Love, that brings us such strong emotions, making us remember fulfilling memories that we want to continue on. And the Joy we felt in the moments we have fulfilled. Lastly, Self-Control and Patience, the ability to help us control our actions and wait for the right moment to come for us. In learning all of these virtues, there's something inside me opening up, telling me to use these virtues in order to help myself, help others, and have the future I've been wanting to reach. Hence, these virtues serve as keys and paths that guide us into having a positive outlook of this 'cruel' world. Because it was never too late to solve things, to heal, and to hope, there will always be one day that everything will be alright without a hitch. And I know that sooner, the world is going to go back to normal once again.

The COVID-19 outbreak was truly unexpected. The peaceful decades turned into years filled with fear in our minds, and each day became more and more challenging. During the current circumstance that we are facing, there is only one thing that keeps us going; hope. We are all hoping for the better and hoping for brighter days ahead.

I am grateful to be able to participate in the culminating activity “HOPE of DIHS”. This event had woken up the discouraged side of myself. The speeches presented by chosen students from the 7 Grade 10 sections were all commendable and heartfelt. In this time of the pandemic, it is very important to have the courage and strength to keep going. Not all of us are on the same page. Some are lacking essential living needs, and some are struggling to move forward. Having humility and kindness to help people in need would enable us to serve as a spreading tool for joy and love towards mankind. We should all learn to control ourselves using true wisdom in our minds to create a path that escapes us from all of our problems. In our current journey, being patient is also a must; change does not happen in a day, which means that we should wait for it. We can use hope and the seven other virtues to rise again, color the world again, and be united once again.

All in all, I am very thankful to become one of the participants in this activity. I would also like to applaud my fellow students and classmates for delivering such beautiful speeches that would surely bring out hope in everyone’s lives.

Since then, life has been difficult, and it has become even more difficult as a result of the pandemic. We have been through so much suffering and pain that it is possible that we have lost sight of the various virtues that exist in our life. Immediately following the occurrence, I grasped the importance of these characteristics, beginning with optimism. It is the source of everything. A calm existence is based on the expectation that we will overcome challenges, achieve our objectives, maintain positive relationships with others, and be content. With these aspirations in mind, it motivates us to respect our other virtues as well. All of the virtues that were mentioned have lingered in my thoughts and beliefs; they have guided me toward answers to many problems and given me hope for every difficulty that I will face in the future. There are disagreements on each given subject, and I came to know that there is always optimism in the midst of disagreements. The values instilled confidence in me to follow my goals and live a happy life. Despite of the problems we experience, hope is always there to lead us to be better when we lost in our path.

Life is full of unexpected events and emotions; virtually every day, we are confronted with difficult situations that make us want to give up. When the pandemic struck, the majority of us suffered from various health problems, but we must never forget that there is hope. I had to think about life after watching the live program, and I realized a lot of things. I discovered that hope is something we should value since it is what keeps us going. It has the desire to show people that life may be difficult at times, but it should not have a negative impact on us. Hope, Love, Joy, Humility, Self-Control, Wisdom, and Courage are designed to strengthen and make us brave. I also realized that bad experiences and mistakes are not supposed to make us weak, but rather should give us hope, because from these mistakes we learn things that we should value. Furthermore, giving up should never be an option because it may be difficult at first, but we should remember that life is a long journey of ups and downs, and we should wait until the right time comes, and we should wait until our dreams finally come true, because good things come to those who wait and that there is no need to rush. What is meant for you will always arrive on time.

The pandemic had an impact on all of us. It caused many individuals to lose their jobs, become ill, and many even died as a result of the virus's fast spread. Most of us had a difficult time throughout this pandemic, but we all fought and are now on the brink of defeating the virus. The program kept me entertained and helped me realize a lot of things. It made me understand that the life is important and that we should cherish it till our last moments. It taught me that by cherishing the 7 virtues, we may continue to pursue our aspirations and live a life where we are satisfied for what we've done and what we've accomplished. I am very happy for deciding to participate to this program, it was a beautiful experience.

Since the pandemic started, life has been challenging for all of us, and others may believe that this is just a never-ending cycle, a vicious cycle where one cannot escape. Because of the pandemic, millions of people lost their loved ones and jobs, leading to more hunger and financial hardship. I'm one of those people who experienced these sudden changes to the point where I lost motivation to do certain things and my normal routine. But after watching the program, I realized that there is so much more to life. These obstacles, difficulties, and struggles help us build our character, and without them, life wouldn't make much sense. Even in the darkest times, there will always be hope. One must just keep in mind the seven virtues— love, humility, self-control, joy, wisdom, courage, and patience. With the help of these virtues, we live life to its fullest and enjoy every moment even if life doesn't always give us the gift we were hoping for.

Blinded by the difficulties and grief that began to feel hopeless and overlooked the different virtues until the live event occurred. The event was a life-changing experience that affected and broadened my perspective. I found that hope can conquer any barriers. Hope provides us the confidence and strength to persevere, an unwavering, pure belief that things will get better. Furthermore, the seven significant virtues were discussed, and all of them must be valued to remain strong during challenging times, never lose hope, and be happy. Life is a roller coaster journey, it has its ups and downs, but hope drives us onward even in the most daunting circumstances. Remember, it is possible to feel terrible when situations become complicated and take breaks.

Everyone's boring old routine was changed forever and we weren't prepared. From jobs to businesses, even schools were on lockdown. People are even discouraged to step outside their houses and many lives were lost because of this. For a while, everything felt bleak like there was almost no hope in believing anymore. When I tuned in to the live event, I felt like I was being seen. People who share the same experiences as me all came together to take about hope. For the few hours I watched that live event, I learned a lot about hope and I finally feel like an improved person that will always try to center the seven virtues.

A lot of people got affected by the virus and even lost their lives. As a result, our daily lives and routines became completely different from before. We all go through pain and hardship in our lives, but hope and the other virtues motivate us to keep going and work harder. Hearing each representative speak at the event made me realize how important these virtues are not only to us but also to our society. I learned that hope gives us the strength to overcome whatever difficulties we may face in life, enabling us to keep going and not give up hope in our dreams, goals, and other aspirations. Aside from that, the seven virtues addressed in each representative's speech show how important these qualities are in our lives, especially in this time of pandemics and world issues. The event's advice helped me recognize and understand that hope and the seven virtues provide value and a good outlook in my life.

The whole event mainly evolved around the idea of hope, the hope that presents constant resiliency, primarily heard on the speech of our guest speaker Atty. Steven Gatacelo, who mostly talked about the prevalence of hope in his life journey, from being a young industry hopeful, to a successful attorney. The succeeding speeches from 7 students of different sections also deepened the importance of the day's theme, by talking about various themes like love, wisdom, courage, and joy. In the end, the biggest takeaway that I've gained from the event is the importance of a positive outlook in one's live, whatever circumstances or problems happen and pass through us, because at the end of the day, we can only really just work hard or do our best at everything that we do, and leave the rest to God.

After watching the live event, I realized that there is still reason to hope. We can use the seven virtues: courage, wisdom, humility, love, joy, patience, and self-control to hope. Courage, this virtue helps us to motivate ourselves to achieve our goals and dreams. Courage gives us the power and confidence to do what we want to do. Wisdom improves our ability to be wise. We can make good judgments by combining our knowledge and experiences. Humility makes people better learners and thinkers. Love and joy connect people to have a better relationship. Patience and self-control are also significant because we need to control ourselves and be patient with everything. We must learn to wait and control ourselves not to give in to temptations. These seven virtues help me to continue and spread hope in my daily life.

To begin with, this has been a commencement for me at stepping out of my comfort zone as I participated in the event being the class representative. Albeit, it was innocuous to be a class representative, nonetheless being in that position, I had so many doubts about myself whether my speech was excellent or the script was downright flawless. Looking back, I realized I had panicked so much, but it's truly worth an experience. 🌷

Another memorable part for me in the event was the guest speaker's speech. As I listened to his narrative, I found out that his speech was very simple yet gave a lasting impact on me. More notably, I obtained an epiphany from him, and that is, things will never work from how we always wanted them, regardless of this harsh truth, we must remain hopeful and persevering at chasing our dreams and aspirations in our life.

Finally, through this event, I acquired an in-depth understanding of the seven virtues, significantly in joy- which is my speech:> and how these understandings of mine turned into applications at working for a propitious life. 🌹 🌹

Our lives have been difficult since the outbreak of the epidemic. Those speeches taught me that the seven virtues are indeed necessary, that possessing all of them may help you get through difficult times, and that sharing this information with others and directing them along the correct road appears to be useful. The values that were mentioned have stayed in my heart; they have provided me with answers to many situations and given me hope for every challenge that I will face. For each given issue, there are disputes, and I understood that in every struggle, there is hope and It encourages me to grow.

Since the pandemic started, our lives have drastically changed. With all the struggles and changes that occurred, it's possible that we may have forgotten the important seven virtues in our life. The speeches about those virtues gave me hope and taught me how to love, be humble, have self-control, have wisdom, have courage, and be patient. I learned through the event that we shouldn't lose hope even when facing hard times and that we should stay strong fighting the battles of our lives. The lessons I learned through the event will never be forgotten and will always be in my heart, continuously reminding me to never lose hope and to also spread hope to others.

Life is hard sometimes. We go through ups and downs. And I think the deepest down I have experienced was when the pandemic started. It was hard for me since I am not used to staying at home for a very long time. We are like prisoners, no one's allowed to go outside, and almost everything is limited. We must continue our education, so we attend online classes. I had a rough time coping and adjusting to a new learning modality. But we have no choice but to continue walking on this path. We need to go on with our journey to achieve our dreams. Even if it is challenging, we just need to hope. In this event, I have realized that going through difficulties is normal, but we must not give up. I am inspired and motivated to continue my life and just hope. I also realized that the seven virtues (Love, Humility, Joy, Self-control, Wisdom, Courage, and Patience) is all we need to be strong despite the pandemic we are experiencing. Also, these seven virtues are necessary for us to overcome the difficulties we are experiencing and about to experience.

Watching the event and listening to each spoke about the seven virtues gave hope to me and everyone else. We may have forgotten to love, to have courage, to be joyful, to be patient, to be self-controlled, to have wisdom, and especially to have humility. This event shows us that we need to have and spread hope to everyone, despite the challenges we faced throughout the pandemic. We need to share and spread the seven virtues.

It's been more than a year since the epidemic started, and I've recently felt the struggle that everyone went through; I thought giving up was not an option, and I thought the sensation of failure wasn't true. But, since the beginning of the school year, I've felt a loss of optimism, desire, and determination to continue. I wasn't interested in anything, and I honestly believed that studying simply made one feel bad.

After watching "Reclaiming Pandora's Box: Unleashing Hope in Today's Generation," I changed my mind about everything. I instantly realized why I wanted to study, the activity gave me flashbacks of everything that I was interested in. And I eventually recognized that the feelings I am currently experiencing, as well as the unexpected things that happened, are simply trials that the world has given to me and in order for me to become better prepared in the future. Giving ourselves a break in tough times is normal, but we shouldn't forget to get back on track.
