Life comes from life, genes in DNA is passed down to create more of itself. DNA contains hereditary information that directs cellular functions of life's activities in general. Each parent will contribute one half of their genes.

Organisms respond to external stimuli, typically reacting by moving towards or away from a stimulus. Movement of an organism constitutes a majority of its behavior, which is mostly responsible for minimizing injury, acquiring food, and reproducing.

These sunflowers track the passage of the sun throughout the duration of the day.

Organisms remaining the same, internal environment of organisms stays relatively constant. All organ systems of the human body help maintain homeostasis. For example the urinary system rids blood of waste and the digestive system provides nutrient molecules.

Here Aldrin has just ran 10 kilometers and is sweating profusely. This means his body is regulating its temperature and is flushing out any toxins that may be present.

If the environment around an organism is frequently changing, said organism would have to adapt to survive. When species adapt to live longer and produce more offspring its called natural selection. Changes in characteristics that result in an increase in population from one generation to the next is evolution.

Below we have a crow that has changed from many many years ago to what it is today. In current times with big cities and pollution this crow has adapted to survive in this new environment.
