Listening to the speakers talk about the potential for reintegrating formerly incarcerated people, especially Indigenous folks and having them return to their cultural roots of fire/land management, made me think of AmeriCorps VISTA. I could see a really great anti-poverty, anti-recitivism, culturally responsive/led project. (Kim Judy)

So much of the work we're engaged in is happening at a grass roots level. I'd like to see a reduction in the rules around who can apply and receive federal financial support, i.e. grant funds. While neighbors or communities may not be official "NGOs", they are doing this work and they are doing it well. (Kim)

Strongly agree with the last commenter - we need to listen more to what communities members need and want. And let the communities decide how to get there. So much of what "we" do - government - is prescribe what the solutions are or what we will fund. I'd like to see that flipped on its head.

Yes. for econ issues. local financial institutions? CBOs with economic/financial orientation. and other USG entities with influence on financial aspects of our people's lives--Treasury, USDA, HUD, DOL... there's smaller scale, concrete actions like a green jobs program (of course, that's not so small!), and then there's big structural change like altering benefits structure so access is less focused on what state or locality you live in and more portable/available through common cross-state/national portals. these will require different types of partnerships
