Meeting Content

The meeting began with an opening speech by project manager Leyla ÇİNİCİ. Students were informed about the purpose of eTwinning, opportunities for inter-school collaboration in Europe, digital skills development, and cultural sharing.

The ESEP platform was then introduced, explaining step-by-step how to create individual student user accounts and how to use the TwinSpace.

The project rules were emphasized, emphasizing that students are expected to adhere to digital ethics, be respectful in communication, and work collaboratively.

Information was provided on e-safety and safe internet use, and students were provided with examples of protecting their personal data, acting responsibly online, and respecting copyright.

The overall objective of the project was explained, focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aiming to raise students' awareness, foster responsibility, and design creative products using digital tools.

General information was shared about the activities to be held throughout the year, and students were informed about poster design, e-zine work, online meetings, and international collaboration assignments.

Following this, a short "ice-breaking activity" was held to foster student engagement. Students introduced themselves to each other and shared their initial thoughts on the project.

At the end of the meeting, parental permission forms were distributed to the students and they were asked to return them to their parents for signature.

Finally, duties were assigned within the project team, and the communication officers, design team, research group, and copywriting team were appointed.

Decisions Made

Students will open their ESEP accounts and join the TwinSpace environment.

Parent permission forms will be submitted by the next meeting.

Each group will prepare an initial work plan appropriate to their area of ​​responsibility.

At the next meeting, ideas for the project logo will be exchanged.

Conclusion

The meeting concluded productively, with students becoming more informed about the project and enthusiastically participating in the process.

Bağlıca Anatolian High School was successfully represented at the “Youth for a Sustainable Future” conference, organized within the scope of the SustainLab eTwinning project.

Under the guidance of project partners Meryem Örük and Leyla Çinici, and accompanied by their advisor teachers, our students İpek, Defne, and Gülceren attracted attention with their original presentations prepared in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. Our students analyzed the problems within the framework of their chosen goals and shared their solution proposals with an effective presentation style.

Throughout the conference, they beautifully reflected both our school and the spirit of SustainLab with their self-confidence, critical thinking skills, and solution-oriented approach.

We congratulate them and thank all the teachers and students who contributed. 🌿✨
