Anthony Norton for attempted first-degree murder. He was issued no bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on April 25. - Chatham County Sheriff's Office<br><br><strong>CRIME CATEGORY: <br></strong>This falls under the felony category due to the severity of the crime and its nature.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>DETAILS: </strong><br>On November 17, David Mitchell Henderson, 34, of 121 Williams Pond Road, Pittsboro, was arrested by Deputy Reggie Griffin for stalking. He was placed on a Domestic Violence hold and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court in Carthage on December 2. <br><br><strong>CRIME CATEGORY: <br></strong>Stalking is typically a misdemeanor (sometimes a felony). North Carolina states that a person is committing the crime of stalking if they are, "willfully on more than one occasion harasses another person without legal purpose or willfully engages in a course of conduct directed at a specific person without legal purpose". The state also says that if they "know or should know that the harassment or the course of conduct would cause a reasonable person to” fear for their safety or suffer “substantial emotional distress by placing that person in fear of death, bodily injury, or continued harassment." it is considered stalking.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Welch was issued a $75,000.00 secured bond to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 21.<br><br><strong>CRIME CATEGORY: <br></strong>This falls under the petty crime offense due to its violation of a legal order, the legal order, in this case, being a domestic violence protection order. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>
